That's pretty cool. Comedy Central only plays the Critic in the middle of the night, which kinda sucks.

My grandmother always said, "Why buy the cow, when you can get the sex for free."
I've got the Dungeon Master's Guide. I've got a 12-sided die. I've got Kitty Pryde, and Nightcrawler too, Waiting there for me...Yes I do, I do. I've got posters on the wall. My favorite rock group Kiss. I've got Ace Frehley, I've got Peter Criss, Waiting there for me...Yes I do,I do. In the garage, I feel safe. No one cares about my ways. In the garage, Where I belong...No one hears me sing this song. In the garage, I've got an electric guitar. I play my stupid songs. I write these stupid words...and I love every one... Waiting there for me... Yes I do, I do. He's ordinary!

I've been watching it now on Atom films now for a while. It was actually what turned me on to some of the other films at Atom.

Nice! The Critic was a funny ass show, no matter how short lived it was. Also, Duckman was very funny... poor poor Duckman.

Kick ass, I'll definately check all this material out. Thanks.

Duckman was one of the smartest shows on TV. Unfortunatley it was too good for USA where it was aired so they fucked it up. Put it at random time slots and royally screwed it. It was social satire cartoon before South Park came into play, it had some of the greatest characters and funniest lines ever written and it's a shame that Comedy Central bought it and doesn't air it. Nothing against the Critic though but Duckman had more episodes and a shorter CC run. I've always felt that they should cut down on playing the Critic like 4 times a week when they only made like 30 episodes.

The critic was a life changing experience for me and the online episodes are hysterical. I've been a fan of them for awhile.

The Critic had me laughing so hard one time I actually choked on something I was eating. This one episode dealt with Jay writing a book. At one point, they cut to a stand in a book store with Jay's voice repeating "BUY MY BOOK!!! BUY MY BOOK!!!!!" over and over. And as if that didn't have me laughing enough, they then cut to someone who worked in the book store who went insane listening to it. I'd kill to see that episode again, CC doesn't seem to play it. In fact, they seem to play the same few episodes over and over.

Ah... I remember Ikea and maybe Fez bringing the Shockwave Critics to our attention, long long ago, maybe even on the "old" board...

I have also posted before, and I'll post it again, THE CRITIC is the best animated show, nay, the funniest half-hour show, ever. Maybe if it had gone on for years it would have faded, but the 23 episodes are perfect, despite some moldy topical references. I have 'em all on tape (Comedy Central used to run them sequentially).

Here's what sucks - my computer refuses to play the new Critics and I don't know why. Yes I have Shockwave and Flash. Direct X may be the problem. But I gave up a while ago... :(

the misery parody with probably one of the best lines ever: "If I could be a vegetable, I'd be a carrot." Followed by the headline "Carrot Man to Big Apple: I Miss my baby carrot."

Who could forget the trademark cry: "It stinks!"

In fact, do you remember the 'cameo' Jay Sherman had in an ep of The Simpsons: for some reason, the family was visiting a mental hospital, and as they walk by, they pass a room, in which a doctor is counseling Jay, who says "It stinks" four times like a broken record. The doctor consolingly tells him, "Yes, Jay, everything stinks..."

Speaking of cartoons on Comedy Central: When the hell are they gonna put on Clerks: The Animated Series? Even if it's on at 3:30 in the morning before infomercials, at least it'll be on. Of course, I can't complain, as I got the DVD, as does Quickstop.

Quickie, comment?
