No question, I'd return it simply for the reason that I'd hope someone would do the same for me; karma's been very good to me. :) This is why I also help people stranded on the side of the road.

Why would she need to check the credit card. When he answered the door all he was wearing was his "I love the Froy" nightshirt.

Slash I added that last gym reference intentionally just for you, I know how much you love hearing about it. And it turns out the girl who found my wallet was not the girl who gave it back to me. The girl who answered the door was just her roommate.

I'm definately shattered Like some stupid piece of china How pathetic of me

Let it be me, I'll be your poetry in motion. A desolate island when you sail the deep blue ocean. All your tomorrows for all your yesterdays. I'll be a lamb or a lion you can tame. And I hope and I pray that my offer will find its way. Yes I know there'll come a day, when in return I'll need the same. Let it be me, the star who guides you through the night. I'll make it worth your while.

I would definatley return it. I try to step into that persons shoes. "Wouldnt I be pissed if someone didnt return my wallet?". The instant Karma thing is there as well. The only thing that wouldnt be that bad if I lost my wallet, is I don't ever really carry cash, I'm addicted to my ATM card with the MasterCard logo on it. I would only be worried about things like credit cards etc.

It depends who the wallet belonged to. Politician and/or person I hate -- the money would be mine. Person I don't know or like, money would be returned.

Seriously though, I'd probably give it back no matter who it belonged to. I take care of other people's shit, and I like when they take care of my shit. I guess its that whole karma thing, but its something important to me and what I was taught a long time ago.

It would depend on the situation for me.If i saw the person drop his wallet then yes i would pick it up and return it to him.But if the wallet was on the ground i would take the cash out and just leave the wallet. We had this discussion at work recently also, and it seems the majority of people would keep the cash and drop the wallet.

One time, when I was younger, I was playing
football in this vacant lot with my brothers. We
happened across a wallet with no
identification, but a significant amount of cash,
over $1000! We showed it to our parents, and
my dad turned it over to the cops. The officer
said if no one claimed the wallet in 60 days
the money would be ours! My brothers and I
were beyond thrilled.
Well, our 3 sisters found out that we found this
money, and they expected us to split it with
them! While it was still free money, splitting it
six ways instead of three really cut into our
earnings.
Over the next few weeks people called to
claim the wallet, but couldn't describe it well
enough to claim ownership. As the idea of
getting the money grew more realistic, the
fights with our sisters got worse.
Eventually an older guy named Mr. Stoner
claimed the wallet. He described it, and it was
his all right. But he really needed the money,
so we were all happy for him. He even gave us
a $20 reward, which we happily split with our
sisters.

Keep the money, drop the **EDIT: WALLET (the one time I don't proofwrite my post) in a mailbox. Shit, if I was to lose my wallet, I would fully expect whoever found it to keep the money. I wouldn't even be mad about it, as long as I got my ID and shit back.

Bottom line, if you lose your wallet, maybe you deserve to lose your money. It's the cost of learning to better keep an eye on your shit.
