Who needs AIM? I got AOL Buddy List, complete with custom sounds; for example, when someone signs off, Psycho Mark says "Go F yourself".

My AIM is always on, people who IM me don't bother me, and yes I have names I hide under, I think I have about 10 screennames, because every time I got a new one, I would end up talking to someone on it, and had to make another that nobody knew. I use the one nobody knows when I am only going to be on for a few minutes to see if there's anyone on to say hello to.

My AIM is always on when I am online since I have AOL, but I do have people blocked.

I also have my super secret names to use when I don't want to be bothered...

I have ICQ but I hate all the freaks from other countries messaging me for cyber/marriage for a green card...

I was thinking about getting AIM, but after reading all this about being hassled, having extra names to "hide" etc.. etc.. why even bother?

I mean it sounds like you people have 5 or 6 names a piece. To keep track of all this each buddy probably has their own buddy group.

Calculating those numbers knowing that AIM only allows for 160 total buddy names, the range of total buddys you can have using the Mav factor would be 26.666 - 32.

I'm not on the computer at night very often.
My friends NOT on the board don't IM (prefer telephones), so I never got into it.

I am at the point where 160 buddys is not enough. Over the 6 years i've been on the net, I have so many online and offline buds that 160 aint gonna cut it. At this point i've had to remove buddies who use ICQ or Y! messenger so I can make room for new people.

BTW, ActiveBuddy just put 2 new buddy assistants into circulation...

Well my IM's are always on since I am on aol. But I am at work now posting sporadically so I don't have aim here. But the few times I am not on IM is when i just really am not in the mood to talk, but 95% of the time I am on, I am on AIM.
