O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Mantle and DiMagio did a few autograph signings for The Wiz when they were spokesmen and I got a poster signed b the both of them. This was when Bay Plaza first opened in the Bronx. I also met Andy Kaufman at a fair when I was 8. It was in a lot that became the Co-Op City Bus Depot and I remember him only signing for kids and I got it on a buisness card I got from the cotton candy guy. My mother swears she still has it somewhere in a steel box in our house but she refuses to look for it. Katya, I'm a Buffy fan to. How did you get all of your stuff? Two questions to revive the topic: Who was the nicest person or was the person you have nice to you? And would you ever consider selling anything from your collection? Phil Hartman and Garth Brooks were probably the nicest people I met standing there for a while and actually having conversations with everyone there. George Clooney was a dick though. As he was going into the David Letterman Studio he started to sign for me, wrote the "G", stopped and said "I got to go" and just went in. I rather have had him just pass me by then waste my time with that shit. And as of now, I would never even consider selling any of my stuff but who knows what the future will hold. O&A Board Regular Registered: Sep. 00 | Almost forgot... I got an autograph earlier this year... Me and my brother went to WWF New York to see Raw (then known as Raw is War) and Billy Gunn was signing autographs when I got there. I knew this because I learned of his appearance from their website. So of course I go down with two WOW stickers, one for me, one for my bro... I go to the table with the two WOW stickers, and one of the WWF flak says "you can only get one" so what else can I do, I put one away, Billy signs the back of the one WOW sticker, I shake his hand, I leave... Later that night, during the waning moments of Raw (was) War, who else stumbles into the dining area, but The One Billy Gunn. My brother spots him, and, knowing of the story I had just told him, maniacally says, "Gimme the other WOW sticker!" and a few minutes later, he returns with a second WOW sticker signed by B.G. He told me when he gave it to him to sign that Billy said something along the lines of, "Hey, I got one of these earlier..." but he signed it nonetheless. What a cool guy. Psychopath Registered: Jul. 01 | I don't have any good autographs. I never felt compelled to go up to anyone and ask for their signature..the whole "star" thing escapes me...they're people. Must just be me :p However I do have the autographs of a few of the Flyers that I have met over the years, but I couldn't even tell you what I did with them lol If I seem a little scattered There's an empty space where something used to beat I'm definitely shattered Like some stupid piece of china How pathetic of me [ÃAIMÃ ] [ÃE-MailÃ] | ||||

O&A Board Regular Registered: May. 00 | Speaking of RAW it reminds me that my good friend got an autogrpah of Chris Jericho. I think i have his pic somewhere. The funny thing about it me and him were outside the garden and saw him walking to his car alone while everyone else was pestering the other wrestlers on the other side of the enterance. I think i might have attracted a stampede when i said, "It's Chris Jericho!". He seemed to like the attention.

Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | My uncle is a professional autograph and memorabilia collector. Just about every major celebrity in the past 40 to 50 years is in his collection. The ones that are most impressive in my opinion are his Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth autographs. The game bats are cool as well cause you can imagine them being used in these big games that you watched on TV, and here I am swinging them! I'm more impressed with objects that famous people used or artifacts that were part of history, that really gives you a sense of being there. ________________ Still An Asshole.
