O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	In my history class (yes i said history class, we go off on strange tangents sometimes, don't ask) the other day we were discussing relationships and whether or not we believed in having a soulmate or not. when the professor asked the question of "who here believes that there is only one person for you out there, your soulmate?" in a class of about 40 people..i was the only one who raised my hand, and everyone else looked at me like i was a freak.so of course i was asked why i felt that way, and my answer, in short was, that i feel that there are is someone out there for everyone, and that i am a strong believer in fate, and when one meets their other half/souldmate they will know, and everything will be perfect, no petty bullshit, no major fights, just complete and utter happiness. i was truly shocked that not one other person agreed with me, so it made me think...am i just to young and naive to know better? does anyone else in this world agree with me? or am i just fucking stupid for believing in this? so here i am bringing this question to all of you to see what you think, feedback is greatly appreciated ...what good is a poker face when you've got an open hand i was supposed to be cool about this yeah i remember cool was the plan tried to keep it all under wraps but the wraps kept going slack i keep turning round i keep coming back...

But I think that there are probably a lot of people out there that can fit you like that. If it was just one, we'd be screwed if our "mate" lived in Seattle, or Beijing, or died when she was 18 or something like that. Or decided to marry someone who isn't her soulmate, for that matter. I think we can be happy in the end, but as you go along and spend time with more and more people, it's hard not to just want to settle for that first person you can just stand to look at day in and day out. I think the concept that there is just one person out there that could make you your happiest is stretching it. I think it comes down more to finding your "type".
