| Psychopath Registered: Sep. 01 | LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Tom Cruise's new psychological thriller "Vanilla Sky" shone brightly over the North American box office in its first weekend, but the film's forecast is cloudy as "Lord of the Rings" leads a slew of new releases over the Christmas holidays. According to studio estimates issued on Sunday, "Vanilla Sky" (Paramount) grossed a sturdy $25 million for the three-day period beginning Dec. 14, while incumbent champ "Ocean's Eleven" (Warner Bros.) slipped to No. 2 with $23.1 million and the comedy spoof "Not Another Teen Movie" (Columbia) opened at No. 3 with $13.1 million. I have been hearing ads for this movie during EVERY friggin break on the O & A show of late so I think I'll go watch it when school breaks for me on Wednesday. Do Cruz and Diaz look good in it, anyone? I've seen the commercials and they look OK. But is there anything they're not showing there?  GodBlessAmerica. | ||||

| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | I know this doesn't matter but Tenenbaums actually made over 5 times as much per screen as Sky. Tenenbaums great, great movie.I'm seeing Sky Thursday or Friday and seeing LotR Tuesday "It appears my wee wee has been strucken with rigor mortis." | O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | penelope cruz actually did look good in the movie. i always thought she looked like an ostrich, but she didn't look so bad in this movie. the last movie cameron diaz looked good in was the mask. but i'm a chick, so what the hell do i know. as for tom cruise, he only looked good in MI2. nothing else. | ||||
