Im not up on the latest technology, i'm just looking to tape O and A when I cant listen due to work. Is there a device where I can set it to start and stop taping at a certain time without me having to push the buttons? if so anyone know how much it costs and where I could get it?

Actually, there's a gadget that you can hook up to your computer. I can's remember the name of it, but if I think of it, I'll post back. It's basically a USB radio hook up that allows you to listen to the radio on your computer. The software allows you to record and do all sorts of shit.

back when I first started recording radio shows, I used to use my VCR...i hooked it up to the stereo and recorded on a VHS tape...very cheap & easy...and it gives you 6 hours of tape.....just another option if you're not into computer shit.

Chase this tease into the open wave, And take this leash into your inner slave. Follow me into the open end, Now gather these pieces of broken man. I will set in motion - to open me up again. I will make the ocean - swallow me up and then - DROWN. Close this cell - imprison your only friend, And I can't kill - but I'm not so innocent. Rid this place of me and everyone, And change this face to burn in the sun. I will set in motion - to open me up again. I will make the ocean - swallow me up and then - DROWN. there is also a software program called total recorder which allows you to record streaming media....

if you want to grab the show while youre at work for example you can run a digital recording of it in the background with the volume low for example for thise who cant listen at work... then you can listen in later and edit the files

av8er is the sound quality any better on the video tape since the tape is larger than regular tapes?

FCM... I use to record music to VCR tapes to playback in a bar i used to work at... the quality is about the same as a regular cassette if you record at EP speed (to get 6 hours) ...but the major factor is your VCR... it works best with a VCR that has has dual audio outputs... some older VCR's only have one line (mono) for line out...which means you need a 2 to 1 splitter... but, it's still a decent recording...

You guy's are going way too terchnical here. By far the cheapest easiest most idiot proofest way to tape on a timer is go get one of those little clock things old people plug a lamp into so it comes on at sunset and everyone thinks someone is home. The timer on your lawnsprinkler will work also but, it's difficult to get the sprinkler head aimed just right to hit the buttons. And, it's pretty messy.

Just set up your stereo. Tune in WNEW. Put in a black cassette. Shut it off. Press the play & record nutton silumtaneously. Unplug it. Plug the timer thing in. Plug the stereo into the timer thing. Set the timer to come on at 2:55 and shut off at 7:05. Turn the stereo back on.

Hey wait... That won't work. That's 4 hours and 10 minutes. There ain't no cassette that long. Nevermind, do what they said.
