| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01  | ok on the news in the past few days, the red cross says we are treating the taliban prisoners unfair and harsh. and now the dutch say we are violating the prisoners rights. What are your opinions on this.. My opinion is that we are treating them just right. who cares if they are shackled and wearing mittens and ear cups and a mask. maybe that is so they dont bite the marines or scratch at them.. these are the people that are trying to kill the americans. why are the damn red cross saying that we are treating the prisoners unfair. these prisoners deserve whatever kind of treatment they get. There are international standards for treating prisoners of war, which we would want other countries to follow if they were holding Americans hostage. | Psychopath Registered: May. 00 | They're not POWs, there's no declared war. We americans are really good at finding loopholes in everything. The reason there's no declaration of war is that there wasn't a recognized government. The country was (and still is) ruled by a bunch of terrorists. The only reason they're even alive is to pump them for information. They're being treated just fine. Our soldiers' right to stay as safe as possible supercedes any of their rights, period. They're 'unlawful combatants' and not POWs. Hopefully they will either serve a life of hard labor or a bullet will be placed into the back of their heads when they're no longer useful. It's amazing how we have americans starving in the streets and some people are worried about how we treat a bunch of people that will try to kill us the first chance they get. We're not going to win shit with that attitude. We obtained and defended this land by being a bunch of war-mongers. If we soften up, we'll all be speaking Chinese in the future.
