| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01  | I had a dsl service that my roomate set up, but the company went bankrupt. and since then he moved out. so far, i have tried earthlink, verizon, and aol and none of them have dsl available in my area for some reason. what dsl providers to you guys use?.. i live in the morris county area of new jersey. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Dec. 00 | Why go DSL? Go cable modem instead. It's faster and more reliable. At least you know Time Warner or Cablevision are gonna be around for you. The monthly price is about the same depending on what kind of cable programming you have. Either way -AND THIS IS IMPORTANT make sure you buy firewall software. I have cable modem at home and I get hacked at about a dozen times a night. BlackIce is the best out there but Norton's Personal Firewall aint bad either. If you don't have it, get it.
