Give me a fucking break. I have been to concerts where I needed a telescope to see the stage.

I got screwed by ticketmaster to a Rangers vs Devils playoff game. I got through for tickets and ticketmaster said the tickets were game 4 of the playoffs. When I got the tickets, it said Home Game 4. I called ticketmaster and the person said it was for game 4, don't worry about it. I had just started dating a girl and we both took off from work. We got there and they would not allow us and a few hundred other people. The reason was that the Devils had Home ice advantage and they had games 1, 2,6, 7. Game 4 was in the Garden. Rangers do not have a home game 4, they only played 3 games. They said just call ticketmaster and you will get your money back. We paid the $25 for parking, missed work, paid tolls to get into the city, and the motherfuckers did not give us tickets for next season or anything for our time. I did not sue there.

This fucking cunt went to the event.

TICK'ED-OFF JACKO FAN SUES FOR $20M

By DAREH GREGORIAN
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

February 8, 2002 -- A Manhattan woman is mad, she's mad, really, really mad about her lousy seats at Michael Jackson's tribute-to-himself concert - so mad, she's filed a $20 million suit against Ticketmaster and Madison Square Garden.
In papers filed in Manhattan state Supreme Court, Dana Gross says she paid $100 apiece for six tickets to the King of Pop's all-star Sept. 10 spectacular - only to be stuck in the nosebleed section where she and her pals couldn't see the stage.

The suit says Ticketmaster never told her the seats had an obstructed view, which, her suit claims, shows a "reckless disregard for the truth."

Gross was out of town and couldn't be reached for comment, said her lawyer, Peter Agulnick. But one of her friends and a fellow concertgoer, Glen Rosenberg, said they went to the Garden expecting a "Thriller," and instead got something just plain "Bad."

"We grew up in the '80s, so we were very excited for the show. It was a once-in-a-lifetime shot to see a performer of unbelievable stature," Rosenberg said. In addition to the gloved one, the show also featured a reunion of the Jackson 5 and performances by Luther Vandross and Britney Spears.

"It would have been pretty special, had I actually been able to see it," Rosenberg said.

Instead, he said, they found themselves behind a jumbo projection TV screen and to the right of the stage, where a platform blocked their view of the performers.

When Gross complained to Ticketmaster afterwards, they blew her off, her lawyer said, and sent her a letter saying they'd given her what she asked for - the best seats available.

The suit seeks $10 million in compensatory damages and $10 million in punitive damages "in order to punish the defendants for engaging in such morally and legally reprehensible conduct and to deter them from engaging in such conduct in the future."

Agulnick said he's trying to get the suit certified as a class action that would include anybody who's had similar problems with the nationwide ticket agency in the past.

As much as ticketmaster does suck, this is completely insane. If this lady wins (which hopefully she won't) it just means ticketmaster will charge more for tickets to make up for the money. Why are people so stupid. Pisses me off. If you're going to pay $100 to see Jackson, than you deserve what you get.

Why does it cost $18 extra to ship 2 tickets in regular mail speaking of how crooked ticketmaster is?

I think this has happened to everyone at least once...or twice...or a bunch of times! It sucks. But, for $100 a ticket, I'd want to sue too. How are you supposed to have a good time at a show when you feel jaded?

However, I guess it is the nature of the beast. I mean it happens often enough that I guess I'm just at least expecting that I may not have a good view before I even get to a show. This way, there's less disappointment when it does happen. But...it still sucks.

If you have a friend hit you on the head with something, take a picture of it, and gather some eye-witnesses, I'd say you might be able to get something from the venue. But, everyone will be pissed that it's your fault there aren't beach balls allowed at the venue anymore.

As much as I hate frivolous lawsuits, I hope this one wins. Ticketbastard is the worst thing that could have ever happened to entertainment. They never care about the customer, never have all of the necesary information, and never claim any responsibility.
There's nothing I hate more than buying a $15 ticket for a 3 band show and seeing $7.50 worth of Ticketmaster charges. That means, that on average, Ticketmaster is making more off the event than any of the bands who actually, you know, WORK to do that concert, not just hire people to answer a phone and put the order into a computer. I hope everyone starts suing Ticketmaster.

Thanks to Brokenjaw for the sigpic

Moss should have given the ball to his coaches to spike, or at least invited them onto the field to take part in the celebration, because they were the ones who made that score possible. But don't tell that to Randy, it would only take away from the glory he believes he deserves for being as great as he is. Click here for the whole article

She is suing the wrong people!! The tour group that put on the show at hte garden and designed hte stage set up are the ones responsible for telling MSG (or whereever) that certain areas will have limited sight of the show. Then, MSG (or whoever) have the responsibility to tell ticketmaster or any other ticket sale operation of this issue. If she was smart, she would sue the Michael Jackson, the group that set up the show, and MSG...not ticketmaster...stupid bitch is asking to lose!!

No one responded to this, but I think if I was smart, I could have sued. I wanted to know if something like this ever happened to anybody else, where ticketmaster says one thing and the venue says no dice. Ticketmaster screwed not only me but about a hundred people who thought they had tickets to this game. All they did was say they are sorry and say you can ask for your money back from ticketmaster.

I can understand that this cunt is pissed...I would be too, but 20 million dollars? She paid $100 a piece for the tickets for crying out loud. I think double the money paid should be more than fair compensation for lousy seats.

Let's take a blast to the moon baby

I sit around wishing you well

How I'm craving you, yeah!

Every time I'm near you

I always wanna swallow you down

I'll be right here if ya' need me

In my life, I'll need you here, don't ask why

I'll never disappear

Why is it everyday that I feel the pain?

Let's take a trip to the stars far away

Where were you when I was down?

Staring into the dead

My pain is caused by my pleasure

My soul mate lives in your body

I can't get you out of my head

It never goes away

In my life, I'll need you here, don't ask why

I'll never disappear

In your eyes you can bid me farewell

But don't ever try to understand the situation

Why is it everyday that I feel the pain?

And our outdoor amphitheater, the parking is included in the price of your ticket...granted you're parking in cow pastures, but who cares??

MSG parking is expensive anyway. They raise the prices for playoffs.

Welcome to New York!

The closes I ever came to that TW was when there was a Stabbing Westward (my favorite band before they turned pussy) show with the Cult, and the Cult was deemed "the headliner band." Stabbing Westward pulled out like a month before the show cause they weren't making enough money off it, and had a letter from Ticketmaster assuring their fans that anyone who wanted a refund becuase the band wanted out could get it. Wouldnt you know, the bastards never gave me or a few hundred other people their money back.

i have gotten screwed over by ticketmaster so many times, mostly with wwf events

but the wwf was more than helpful about it, if you write them an email, they help you out and will do what they can to get you the tickets you were supposed to have

ticketmaster.com really pisses me off, they know that they are going to get smashed when huge events go on sale, why are they NEVER prepared for it?

since this is turning into FU to ticketmaster, I'll add one.

I got a promo in the mail for a ticketmaster credit card (Master Card). there were a few perk's, but as always not what they seem.
1) you get a special "concierge" telephone number to order tickets. Great. one problem though - they exclude purchasing 1st day sales (when of course you could really use a special number).
2) you get extra points towards gift certificates for ticketmaster purchases. Except certificates are only valid in person (not online or phone orders), and you can't use credit card for concert purchases from ticketmaster when in person.

Yeah, as Ferret said, welcome to NY.
that reminded me of when I went to Denver; I was given tix to a Rockies game, and the people told me where to park to avoid the $5 parking fee. $5!!; shit you pay about $8 to park at Shea or Yankee stadium, $10+ at Giants stadium, and forget about MSG. NY parking is outrageous.
