Did anyone else check out Dennis Leary's new show and check out Adam's Prime Time debut? I thought the show was actually pretty good. For some reason i laughed everytime Adam said something, regardless of whether or not it was funny. I suppose I could add this show to the short list of shows I make a point to watch. What did you guys think?

Backstreet Boys or N*Sync?

Both of them. Locked in a house, on fire, surrounded by trick fire extinguishers filled with gasoline.

I took a look at it and it wasn't that bad! Some funny lines and somewhat of a plot. Adam's role was too limited though...

I liked it. It's different, it's interesting and I'm going to watch it weekly. I never knew it was Adam who said "I'm going to shoot the next person to take food off my desk" during the commercial.

It's a good show. Maybe not funny enough for a half-hour show, but different and intelligent...

I can't see it getting ratings though. One reviewer compared it to "Action"... ;)

Froy, you may not get to see it next week. The show suuuhhuucks. With the exception of one or two scenes the show was hard to watch. The funniest part of the show was Adam saying that he will shoot the next person that touches his food. I was thinking Hospitaliano the whole time.

mrmojo, Jay had a show like the Job, it was called "Action". Dont blame you if you missed it, it went pretty quick.

"Cracker", "Action", "Brimstone"...edgy shows with not-all-that likeable heros dont last too long in TV land. Set your VCRs...now.

the Job was pretty funny, at least that part where they guy thought they were beating his grandmother was. It was also pretty funny that Leary's lines about bike cops and the flavored coffee are from his stand up act.

That happens in a lot of pilot episodes. That's how they sell the show to the networks...

The show will not last. It's trying to be smart and edgy and it's not really either. And, the fact it was rolled out after the February sweeps doesn't bode well. Adam was funny as was Lenny Clark. Dennis Leary is sitcom success kryptonite, though.

It's still a great career move for Adam...he just needs to get on the back of someone on the rise, instead of on the slide...

I thought the show was good...although they need to give Adam Ferrara more screen time..he's funny as hell. I too laughed all 2 times he was on before he even said his lines...
I hope the show lasts..

The show was good, but Ferrara's line about shoot anyone was roooned in the promos (as well as the grandmother beating). I hate when they show the best parts of a show in the commercial!!!

Yeah it was a good show, the bike cop in the begining,Adams lines in the begining were funny, the grandma beating, and at the end of the show when hes watchin the camera and he turns around and somthin happens but when he turns back around it looked like a still. Those were the only funny parts of the sho

I too liked the Job...one of the funniest parts was when they were going after the guy in a wheelchair and he is trying to wheel away and Leary says "wait, lets give him a head start"

The bike cop gag was also funny...im sure Adam will get more time as the show runs longer....tryign to push a show to a network you go with the biggest/most established star(ie. Leary).

Another show with an unlikable protagonist was Deadline, the Oliver Platt show on earlier this season. I liked the show but NBC cancelled it like 5 episodes in

i thought the show wuz hysterical.
sarcastro, thank you for the "brimstone" ref. i thought i wuz the only tool who actually watched that. it wuz a great show, and it allowed for 120 (?) episodes (the # of escapees), but got canned by fox. now scifi plays all 8 episodes over and over, but they're still good.

I watched the show and liked it a lot. In case people didn't realize, it wasn't supposed to be a sit-com. It is listed as a comedy-drama and that's just what it was. Kind of a mixture of NYPD and Barney Miller. But not quite as good as either. I agree it could have been better, and I wish Adam had more lines, but I will definitely watch it again and give it a chance. I don't know how long it will stay on the air, but I think it has potential. The grandma beating scene and the line in the beginning about the cops balls hanging out were pretty funny.
By the way, did we ever find out for sure just who it was that ate Adam's muffin? :-/
