People are not banned randomly or without due cause, so for the majority of you there is nothing to worry about. You can and will however be banned for the follow reasons: Spamming, inciting arguments or infighting (ie: "A Day in the Life of Upuauat"), posting pornography, or causing general trouble. --You'll note that the Thread listed was a thread made specificly to insult/attack a moderator. I don't care what your opinion is.. the simple fact of the matter, knowingly or not.. you were "inciting an argument".. if your "opinion" "scared" me or bothered me in any fashion.. I could have easily deleted or edited your post. The fact of the matter is you were breaking the rules... PERIOD. You may suffer under the delusion that you can speak your mind around here.. and for the most part.. you may be right. But make no mistake, attacks towards the management are NOT tolerated.. so I strongly suggest that if you wish to voice your negative opinions about the moderators.. you do so by sending an IM or an E-mail to Froy. Because from this point out, everytime you post a complaint or attack aimed at any mod.. I will not explain myself, I will merely give you another strike. and at 3 you're banned. Oh, and BTW.. since you seem to think I'm on a power trip.. here's a bit of job history for you. Since I was made a Mod about two weeks ago, I have banned 1 user (who had allready been banned by another mod), deleted 3 threads (which were spam), and handed out 1 strike (yours) Sure am abusing my "power", aren't I? I don't have a problem with you as well but i don't think it's fair to say vets don't get their fair share of bashing. The grass is always greener on the otherside of the lawn. If you don't know what really goes on and take your statement from just your outside observations then it can never trully be anything but your opinion. I personally always no matter who point out and enforce the rules. Why even the other day a board vet caused some trouble and him and i had it out. I don't care who it is a mod or vet or newbie. I will say that a vet may get the benefit of the doubt more than someone with 1 or 10 posts who has been here a week. Your statement was well intended and sometimes the heat of the moment may render and heated response which any person with emotions can understand. I can not disagree with magus because he gave you a strike for what he felt was right. Take that up with him, but i am just trying to explain to people a few points -No one is immune her to punishment for breaking the rules. -I do not feel people should ever try to come off like "i am better than you" and if they do i will always be there to shoot them down. -Mods are not tyrants who wield their power for no apparent reason those days are over. I am always open to explain myself if i feel it is deemed worthy. I will not reply to someone who just curses and does not act civil enough to deserve a response from me. -If you have any grievance with something out IM's are always open.
