| Psychopath Registered: Mar. 02  | When is an exclusive thread considered burnt out? When a subject becomes popular and to many threads are created, a mod creates an "Exclusive" thread and all others are locked. Makes sense and is a good idea. However, once that thread becomes older and the amount of posts grows to the 100s, even 1000s, it seems to become useless. Useless in either, too many posts to read through or, the posts become stupid with nonrelated posts or an entirely new subject. What to do? what to do?  No love needed, fuck off | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | a thread is burnt out when it is locked or falls off the second page. if a thread is buried 13 or 15 pages down, it makes no sense to revive it, it fell that far away because it was "burnt out". until that time, a thread has something to offer to the board in general, whether it is still on topic or not. If the thread becomes defiled to the point of no return, it is considered a successful hijack and all involved are happy. i hope i shed no light on your dilema and you slip and fall into a pool of aids.  | ||||

If I wanted to bring up past issues, I would have without hesitation. The reason for the question was.... I am curious how the dc affiliate handles the Stern to DM transition. Is DM pre-empted? If so, that is really funny! or is Stern cutoff? Which would also be funny in a weird way! Thus the question.....Who is whos bitch in DC?
