O&A Board Veteran Registered: May. 00 | hello kiddies, goodmorning and all those other pleasantries we use to greet each other in the morning. todays topic is pretty good and not even that inane i think but its all i could think of so fuck it.... we all love to go out to eat. most of us would do it a couple of times a week if we could afford it, as opposed to cooking and cleaning up after ourselves. so my topic for the day is. what is your favorite NON-FAST FOOD chain restaurant?? im talking places like Friday's, Pizzeria Uno's, places like that. :) i, for one, love The Outback. the steaks are tasty , the portions are pretty large and the appetizers are top notch. however its not my favorite chain restaurant. dont know if many people around here know them but, Cracker Barrel's has got to be the best food ive ever had. to sound like a commercial, its good old country cooking, like its supposed to be. the portions are huge, so you always wind up taking some home and the baked apples are damn good. the only problem is that there arent any around here but if you go anywhere west and south of here, you cant help but run into one. and if you went to one, you wouldnt forget it, i guarantee. so have a great day people :) the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Hey sweetie :) long time, decided to drop by for a minute and reply... Outback is also my favorite for those cheese/bacon fries, the bleu cheese dressing, the steak with the pepper seasoning, and that frozen peach slushee Wallabee Darned...mmmm, it's only 10AM and I want steak... Friday's Cajun Chicken Fingers also rock! (and as far as fast food goes, Arby's has the greatest roast beef sandwiches on earth--better quality than any other fast food place)

O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jan. 01 | I actually like some of the food at Olive Garden. And by the way, there's a Cracker Barrel out Rt. 80 in Flanders. Just opened. I can't remember the exit though. I think it's something like 28 or 29. It's the howard Blvd exit in Roxbury, then take a right and its down there. I haven't eaten there yet but I heard it's good.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | There's a chain of steakhouses in Penn. called Hoss's. Thick steaks, great sides and low prices. In NY, Applebee's or Friday's. Most of those places are the same anyway. Spit, I agree with your Arby's assessment! And they used to have great curly fries. Why is the room spinning??? capnfudge@opieanthony.com

O&A Board Veteran Registered: Oct. 00 | Outback is cool. I love the bloomin' onion to start off the meal. Macaroni grill has a dish that is called an appetizer, but is really a meal, and it is commonly referred to as Italian Nachos. This thing kicks ass! But, for overall quality of food and well-prepared meals my vote goes to Legal Seafood. Chef Corpse Boyardee is bringing the food, don't worry!

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I've never been there but it has to be the Olive Garden. I tend to avoid the chain restaurants. At the Palisades mall up in Rockland, they have like 8 chain restaurant's on the same floor. None have impressed me. There is a Cracker Barrel on the way up to the Casinos in CT. I think it's exit 32 on the I-80. SPAZ may be dead, but Kevin is an Immortal Asshole! E-Mail Me Adopted Newbies: Matchbox20Money, paulie da bus driver and MONGO!!!

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Theres a restaurant in the Woodbridge Mall, Charlie Brown's Steakhouse - They make an awesome surf & turf (better than Red Lobster in my opinion), and they're reasonable priced. They also have an all-you-can-eat salad bar thats loaded with goodies. I'll go on record that the steaks may not be as good as the Outback, but Woodbridge is closer for me to get to than the nearest Outback (anyone know of a close one to Staten Island?) In NJ, there's one in South Jersey somewhere. I expect they'll be more as time goes by. Hooters is a definite. Great wings and Buffalo Shrimp.
