I gave Tank Girl some cooking advice today and I thought I should start a thread on it. I am in Culinary School as some of you know and I love sharing my knowledge. If you guys need to know anything, post it and I'll try to help you as best as I can (I'm not a pro yet, but I do have honors @ my school). I hope that I am not doing a bad thing by starting this thread but I thought that it would be a good addition to this site. Most of you seem to like food and hell ~ I just want to make myself useful somehow!

Very Cool Jeni! :) Always wanted to go to Culinary School.To expensive for now.Love to cook.Here's your first.....making a roast pork tonight.Any suggestions on seasoning it.Getting tired of my usual.I either use a southwest dry rub or garlic, onion, thyme, s&p.Thanks!

any hints you can drop on the seasoning of chicken are greatly appreciated jeni. i am trying to keep on a low calorie diet, and don't want stacker to do all the work.

Hey Jeni - Thanks for bringing this up

1) When I make TV dinners in the oven, the whole kitchen tends to fill up with smoke. It may be because I don't take them out of the cardboard boxes before I start 'cooking'. It does tend to add a nice smoky flavor to the meal.

2) When making that boil in the bag stuff - is there a way to do it without melting the bag. I tend to place it directly on the flame.

I may be off the mark TJC,but i think balsamic is a salad dressing that you can buy in a store.Then again,i only got kinda a sorta brain.

FYI....Boiled those tater's a bit of s&p...dreamy and creamy....Can't wait for the cheese omelet and hash browns.Leftover's rule!:)

This is good. I love cooking. Wondered if anyone has that Ron Poppel Rotissiere cooker. I have it and think it's awesome. Great for chicken and london broil.

I got that Rottisserie Oven and that thing works great. Use it at least twice a week. Only one problem the timer doesn't work so we can only "set it" if we "forget it" the food comes out pretty nasty
