First of all, I sincerely doubt that any of us are good enough hitters to hit the ball hard enough to seriously hurt someone. Secondly, we're playing softball. The ball won't travel nearly as fast of the bat, and its bigger and heavier then a baseball, so it won't be hit as hard.
