| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | I'm not asking for the best movies on DVD, I want to know the ones with the best extras. I got a player on friday and want to start off my collection right. The things I'm looking for: Making of mini-movies Deleted scenes Alternate endings And if you know of any with hidden extras that would be appreciated too. I got Silence of the Lambs and it has some killer deleted and some kick ass interviews with serial killers and the FBI Crime Classification Handbook. Gladiator has some good shit too. And G.I. Joe the Movie has funnypublic service anouncements like not to take another child's bike or not to stereotype people. I'm just a cannibal looking for love. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 00 | i hate DVDs just because i have to buy so many, but i've got a lot of favorites... Boogie Nights- for all the deleted scenes (i.e. Heather Graham getting naked again) are great and the director/actor commentary, plus the hilarious John C. Reilly Files which are just his improv outtakes Magnolia- frank TJ Mackey infomercial that was acually aired in the middle of the night on TV and a "Making of" with lots of falling frogs The Cell- pretty cool special effects features and edgier versions of scenes from the movie Evil Dead 1 & 2- great movies on their own but the DVDs have great stuff. 2 has a mini-movie about a headless baby body that comes back to life... i could go on for ever... i hate dvds  "Kinda gets you by the boo-boo, don't it?" | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Thanks for the help guys, but since I have limited funds (ie. :My poor ass is broke because I just wasted a lot of money) Which would you say are the 3 to 5 best to get? I was planning on "The Matrix" no matter what. I haven't seen "Fight Club" but thanks to O&A I know the ending, I was planing on getting "Boogie Nights: The new line Platinum Series" Because I feel a certain connection to the subject. The trailor and cast info is pretty much common place on DVD's. Usual Suspects - worth it just for the movie, but i would have loved director commentaires on a movie like that. Resevoir Dogs - another movie worth it just for the film. But nothing at all either. Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory - well i have the nads to admit i bought it, but who could resist those nice hairless young men oooh and choclate covered mmmmmmm. I love movies more than most and i appreciate every nook and cranny. For me i would rather have Godfather on DVD right now fuck the extra's a remastered print would be awesome right now. And ofcourse the extras make it that much better. Because Se7en was one of the 1st DVD's i got and i considered it worth it just for the movie. But then when the special edition came out about a month ago ofcourse it made it better and yeah i bought it again.
