| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | For most of my life I have been an agnostic, not having proof that God exists or doesn't exist. But by the same token, I don't think it is healthy to just sit there and resist any explanations of afterlife. Now, I am not a Buddhist, but I feel it is the most logical religion for those who do not believe in a higher power. The main reason I favor buddhism though is the concept of reincarnation. To me reincarnation is the most logical explanation for the connection between life and afterlife. quote:To me that just makes sense. I don't have a strong belief in it, but I think maybe we live our lives as the same person over and over again (explaining why we have deja vu) until we get it right. Then we are deserving of moving on to the next level, whatever that might be. It was just a stoned thought I had a few years ago. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I don't necessarily believe in reincarnation (I'm of the Roman catholic Faith, but I twist around its rules to something that I can live with), but I like to think I have an open mind, so i wouldn't rule out its existence. I so think that if people are actually reincarnated, logic would suggest that they come back as another person, not a sheep ot a tree or something, that just makes no sense to me. I think there is an afterlife - there has to be - not the "Pearly Gates" or anything, but another level of existence that we cannot comprehend at this point. | Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | What we, as the human race, have learned in our time on earth, is a droplet in the ocean of time. So much is yet to come that we can't even fathom. Why waste time on the little things? If you come back, you'll know when it happens. I can't see how what we do in our lives today can really affect what happens to us after we are dead. I have to believe that there is something larger, but I don't think it is god.
