| O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01  | I know this is probably not the venue to get this message across, but I thought I'd try. I was really taken back on Friday when I heard Jay Mohr speak of the vehicular homicide incident and how the low life that caused this tragedy will be released from prison soon. This isn’t a gimmick of anything or some poor attempt of anything. This is a sincere offer of help. I have extremely good contacts with many Senators and members of Congress on both Federal and State levels. I am also in contact on a regular basis with both republican gubernatorial candidates for this year’s election. In fact, I will be dining with both candidates within the next month. I would be more than happy to speak to them on the family’s behalf and bring this matter to their attention. If anyone could pass out my email address to Jay or the Ferguson (I believe that is what he said) family I would appreciate it. My email is njstrawberry@hotmail.com. Jay's story got to me big time too, and me & my boyfriend talked about it for a long time. Although most of the general public has been led to believe Mr. Brownstone is about some of the band members' heroin addictions (mainly from the disinformation provided by the band in order to garner street cred), the song is actually about Mr. Frank Brownstone, the head instructor at the Arthur Murray Dance Studios in Los Angeles. In the late 80s, Rose was a student of Brownstone's (who do you think taught Rose his snakelike hip-swiveling?). Apparently, Rose did not pay Brownstone for the lessons. This song is about Brownstone's constant, yet futile, attempts at reimbursement. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01 | Claire-Thank you for offering your help. I am hoping someone from the family will contact me and give me more details as to what happened. I'd like to present this to both republican candidates for the NJ governship. I am not even going to discuss it with Mcgreevey, because one he is the democratic candidate and two he would agree that the guy should be let go. It's all part of his "rehabilitate" society crap of a campagin platform. As soon as I can get some more details and speak to the candidates I will have more info. A petition may be the way, but I want to hold off on that as a last resort. The primary is in June. If things don't start happening by then, then the petition will be a go. And, having felt the effects of a family member dying due to a DWI incident, I understand Jay's pain. If any of you ass-monkeys defiles this thread, I'll become your new bestest buddy.
