Saw it yesterday. Very entertaining summer flick. Like riding a good rollercoaster.

A lot of subtle jokes. Anybody catch the "Doctor Strangelove" reference?

Arthur smiled at him wanly and shrugged again. He turned and smiled wanly at the rest of the pub just in case any of them had heard what was going on. None of them had, and none of them could understand what he was smiling at them for.

Wow, I totally missed that...good catch! It was a fun movie - like watching a comic book. The fight scene between the two chicks in ancient Egyptian dress was pretty awesome.

i think the rock may have found his new gimmick. those claws could do some damage on his opponents huh??????

another movie reference...did the pygmy scene remind anyone else of the raptor scene in "lost world"???? what with people getting picked off one at a time out of the high grass???

Life is like a box of chocoloates, a cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift no one ever asks for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this mostly undefinable whipped mint crap, mindlessly wolfed down when there's nothing else to eat during the game. Sure, once in a while you get a peanut butter cup or an English toffee, but it's gone too soon and the taste is fleeting. In the end you're left with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth-shattering nuts, which if you are desperate enough to eat, leaves nothing but useless brown paper wrappers.

Yeah, I knew I wasn't the only one who caught the allusion to Dr. Strangelove
What I also loved was that in the closing credits, it says: and The Rock as The Scorpion King...they have a charecter name for a charecter in the movie. I thought they would have used his real name (Dwayne Johnson) but instead, used his fake name...just one of those wierd things I seem to notice
I liked it, it was a good popcorn muncher. You don't expect to be moved or learn a lesson going into it, all you get is entertained for an hour or two. Some great action sequences too. I wonder if they will try to turn this into a whole shindig like Indiana Jones...wait, if it made 100 million already, I guess The Mummy 3, 4 and 5 are already in production
One thing I didn't like though was how The Scorpion King was animated in the last fight scene. If they had a real fight scene with actual people I think it may have looked a little better than a cartoony, almost characature of The Rock trying to kill everyone

Yeah, Face. All I could think of was that line from "Lost World" : "No, Stay out of the tall grass! Stay out of the tall grass!" LOL!

And the references to the first film were pretty good. "Uncle Jonathan, I don't know what this last symbol is!"

And I thought the computer generated Rock/Scorpion at the end was pretty good. Would have been better if they had had more time and did a COMBINATION of the Rock in make-up and computer animation.

another great scene was the army battle at the end. after they wipe out anubis's army they all cheer, then they stop and the rest of the army comes over the hill and they all look as if they are going to say "what the fuck????????" that was priceless:)
