I think Johnny Rotten said it best...

"...ever get the feeling you've been cheated?"

Wait until next year. The only good thing about it was Meadow, she's really starting to become a looker and the subplot with her and Jackie's sister was interesting. Hopefully they explore that furthur next year.

Seems I didn't miss much by opting to watch the WWF PPV in lieu of the Sopranos. I did tape it, but after hearing all this, I'm in no rush to watch it now.

Can't wait till next fuckin year for a new episode - well, at least OZ is coming back soon :) :)

What frustrates me is exactly what Seph mentioned: nothing got concluded aside from the Jackie Jr. issue. And they keep setting up more possible angles and storylines for next year. Now for an entire year (AN ENTIRE FUCKIN' YEAR), we'll be sitting and wondering if Paulie is jumping ship, what happens to Christopher, is the rape thing gonna be resolved, and so on and so on... goddamn it. They have us hooked well, don't they?

It wasn't that bad. It resolved one story line completely and opened up another one. I love the new dynamic with AJ. This next season is going to be hot, you'll see. There's just not enough time left for a season of storyline building episodes. Next season is going to be all action.

I had a feeling Jackie Jr. was gonna get got, but it seemed to easy.

and we still don't know what happened with the russian, except that paulie got a different car.

Anyone else want their 13 hours back? Is it just me or did all this season accomplish was set up next season? The only things that I can tell that got resolved was the Jackie Jr. story arc and Uncle Junior's cancer. The FBI storyline continues, the Paulie storyline continues, who knows when Big Pussy is going to show up next season. Season one had a similiar kind of up in the air ending with Uncle Junior in jail and Tony as the new boss. You didnt really know whether everyone would fall in line behind him or not and you werent sure how Tony was going to deal with his mother. This season somehow feels less satisfying though. They just didnt resolve enough stuff. Bah, this show has gone downhill since season one. Its just not as captivating as it was then.

wow that episode was disappointing. the only action was jackie jr. getting killed and that was pretty much expected.

the only redeeming parts of the episode were the line by ralphie that kid mentioned and furio falling on his ass. that was so hilarious.

I was kinda right saying that the fat guy was going to kill somebody, but I got the wrong fat guy. Oh well. It seemed that the whole episode was a hook for next season. It was like a big cliff hanger, with out the action. In a word.... SUCKED.

Jeff you say the are building storylines for next season. I wouldn't go assuming that they will fucking continue anything they did. If the FBI isn't mentioned once next season, would anyone even be suprised?

I think the FBI will be a bigger part of next season. The rumors are that next season will be last for CHase and Gandolfini. Of course if HBO offers them a shit load of money, for 5 more seasons, the FBI won't be mentioned for a long time.

Every show this season set up storylines........They concluded 1 of em, thats it! Other jackie Jr. gettin capped, every other storyline went unfinished.

Pretty dissappointing episode. And to make it worse, the usually good America Undercover show sux tonight.

Maybe Skeet, remember the possible plots of Carmela becoming a Stock Broker or real estate agent brought up at the end of Season 2?

I do hope that next season is the final season of Sopranos. While I love the show I don't think it can be on top for that many more seasons, and ending it next season will make it end on top and end the numerous loose ends. However it's so much better than Survivor.

One has to wonder how come Oz manage to do it for more seasons than Sopranos yet keeps your more riveted with more action/death of major characters every episode?

Anyway...how do you think O&A are going to feel about this lackluster spectacle? I think Opie's going to hate it more than Anthony.

i thought the show wasnt bad. sure we could have seen all loose ends tied up, but what would that leave for next year. looking back, how much more interesting would this season have been if jackie's brother wasnt killed by janice???? the power struggle between him and tony this season could have been pretty hot but they killed him off so we didnt see it, thusthen ending that story line. you never know all these loose ends might lead to better stories down the line. we'll just have to wait.

as for this show, i gotta agree, that line had my laughing out loud and the whole scene with uncle jr. running out of the cemetary was something out of the keystone cops. couple of other observations and comments.

is meadow going to be an alcoholic now????
how funny was A.J. during the whole interview scene with his facial expressions and when the guy asked him if he had any question asked him, "you know those spy guys, why do they always use the word O in front of the time?" that was another classic line

is adriana going to have a lesbian affair with that FBI agent who is that chick from "The Craft",{Im too lazy to look up her name}

how hot is jackie jr's sister and why havent we seen more of her before?;)
who do you think set jackie up? his friend or maybe paulie and silvio?

and on an ending note, as for a comment made before, i think that the spielberg/hanks WWII mini-series is going to be a must watch. it looks hot, very hot:)

For the record the X-Files finale was pretty good although I don't know anyone craving another season (but I do admit Robert Patrick has added something new that the series was lacking).

"This is not what I'm used to." - Brian Regan

Some parts of the show dragged on like Uncle Jun's crooning for ten minutes. "I beat the ass cancer Ton, now kiss me."
What you have to remember is that the show isn't about the mob. Its about Tony trying to raise a normal family despite being in the mob. In that context, the finale worked ok. Meadow is becoming a drunk, A.J's panic attacks and reckless behavior will go on till next season.

This isn't Days of Our Lives. Sometimes plotlines
don't end up neatly wrapped up in life, sometimes there just isn't resolution.

Tequilla Iam 100% with you on this one, I aint posted about the last few episodes cuz it wasn'nt worth the time but now I am mad pissed!! HBO is turning this into a money making soap=opera fucking
drama, now we gotta wait another fucking year to see if that geek AJ ......ahh forget it...... at least they could have shot Jackie JR ith the FACE so we didnt have to see his pussy ass laying in the casket like he just woke up. show the fucking mafia like it really was....

here was the real deal in 1985......

Using, Frank DeCicco, an insider close to Castellano, Gotti was able to get Castellano to attend a meeting with Dellacroce's son on Dec. 16 at Sparks Steak House in Manhattan. That, DeCicco said, would be Castellano's chance to show his respect to the Dellacroce family. DeCicco said it would also ease the tension caused by his failure to go to the Dellacroce funeral. After a meeting with his lawyer, James LaRossa, Castellano drove with Bilotti to Sparks Steak House where he was gunned down by Gotti's killers. Watching the killing with Gotti from a nearby car was former Gambino lieutenant Salvatore "Sammy the Bull" Gravano.

I think Uncle Jr. singing at the end of the show was just a shamless plug. You know he released a CD of Italian music. Meadow is a whack job. She's gonna quit school.

What about the Russians. I was hoping for a confrontation.

OK, time for Doc to act all artsy-fartsy
This season finale, while disappointing in some respects, was right in line with what the rest of the season tried to do.
This season was less about the mafia and the violence, power, and duty of it, and more about what happens to the lives of those who live a life of crime. It focused more on what the charecters themselves go through, think, and have to live with, in order to deal with their chosen life. This leads to more boring, mundane, and introspective episodes.
And the open-ended plots, they do serve a purpose. They serve to develop the charecters, not to further the plot (think of the movioe Ronin...it was all about the charecters, not what the charecters do). Dr. Melfi's rape was never resolved because it serves to show how she HAD to seperate her life from that of her patient. From that point where she did not tell Tony about the rape, she took herself out of the loop that she probably enjoyed (hence the reason she is still Tony's shrink). And Russian "interior decorator" serves only to show how much of an ass Paulie is and how irresponsible he is to his duty.

I would not go this far, but, I was extremely disappointed, to say the least. A lot of things have already been said, but, too many unreolved issues to carry over.

My opinion, it should have been a two, TWO hour finale! Oh well, I guess I will be back like a retarded yo-yo to see season 4.

Maybe they will hold auditions again, this time I would go! ;)
