| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | Has anyone noticed that the board has been a snoozefest lately? Must be vacation time, but, I have seen very little in the way of posting. Our infamous Slackers thread has been hurting too! I guess we are in a lull. I hope things pick up soon! I miss the classic threads! Can we do a "Save Opie & Anthony" campaign? I just wish our voice could be heard with all this bullshit happening at NEW. Which saddly for the next 3 days i wont be able to check into because of testing at our school. Its takin up periods 1-4 everyday. i wont be able to post until like friday. :( dam i hate testing. | Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | well let me speak on this since i am the reasonable mod around here. I agree 100% that yes the board has definetly not been oddles of fun lately. And i can simply put it down like this. not all of these are the reasons and they not need apply to everyone but they will make sense 1- the show has been lacking in fun as well, thus not keeping peoples interest. 2. school is going out now and many of the posters are school goers and they are either studying or many will be going away for the summer. 3. we have only been around a year and many here do not remember how slow it was last summer but then again we only had 650 members then. 4. There is definetly mucho fuckin tension on the board which needs to calm down. This is a cycle that we have gone through. A few months of great posting then something brings us down for a while. When the tension passes the fun will pick up. 5. You guys are to blame as well because you people have gotten to used to responding to posts instead of starting them. 6. Many people are to blame for jumping the gun in bashing people thus making them fear posting. Unfortunaty that problem will always haunt us. 7. many people are also consumed with work from those who i have spoken too plus many people are going through some tough times. 8. The mods are to blame as well because including myself we have lost much interest for many reasons. You guys really and i am not saying all of you so unbunch your panties. You give us no respect for our work. Yeah you all wanna be mods. Yeah you must really wanna be drowned in IM's every second. As i type this i have 13 IM's goin on and on about the board. The e-mails and whenever we do something we get questioned up the ass. I delete, edit and ban everyday and dozens upon dozens of things i do all day no one says boo then one thing i do and i am the evil mod. I am not saying you must fear us but respect us please. We do this all for you guys so we can have a fun board. 9. Also i believe the technical aspect of the board is shitty. Jeff works his ass off and i know he does. But it gets frustrating with some of the bugs on the board but we do the best we can but people think it is so easy to program and upkeep a site they complain. But you have to learn to bear with it. finally pitch in a bit, start posts and if you show interest so will the others. I pretty much think that is the best way i can put it. Feel free to add i am always willing to discuss things further and yes you can still feel free to IM me, lol. now get in line and suck my puss ridden cock you filthy whores. The board also (very recently) has been somewhat of a bear to log onto and post on (in my experience from work AND home), so most people, if they can't get on, just move along to another site, or go offline totally. You made a lot of valid points GS, we all need to kick it into high gear (and soon, because once I'm married in 2 months, I get the feeling my board visits are going to be cut a LOT shorter). | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | The one thing that I've noticed in my time is the lack of POP for sig pics. There is no longer the instant show related real time sig pic going up constantly. I have figured this much though, O&A are slowed down considerably since the beginning of the year. Are they holding back? possibly. But one way or another, in less the 2 weeks the shit will hit the fan and I'm sure it will trickle down to the board.

| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | goatweed also stumbled onto something, a lot of us spend many hours on the board i am talking 3, 4 , 5, sometimes 6 or 7 hours a day on the board and hell when you get into that much time it can't be all entertaiment all the time. Even O&A couldn't fill 6 hours of show straight. So sit back go with the flow and put the energy you put into complaining into posting and helping out.
