Your walking down the street, when you just happen to see your favorite famous person walking in your direction (NOT O&A). What do you do?

We're having creative differences. I'm creative, you're different.
I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public.

I saw the lead singer of the Goo Goo dolls walk out of a manhatten deli once. It was like 2 am, and the streets were empty. He gave me this look like "Great, now i gotta sign a autograph". I looked at him, and kept walking. Im not a fan of his work.

I think I would freak out, but for the sake of being cool...

I would just say, "Hey man great work! I am a big fan"

Due, I suppose, to my advanced (32) years-I've gotten better at this.

Age 22-I met Joel & Ethan Coen at the studio where they were recording the soundtrack to "Fargo". Joel was sitting on the couch, right next to me. I was so starstruck & freaked out that I could not say a word to tell them how much they mean to me...& I still regret my shyness.

Age 32-meeting Stephen Lynch (NOT O&A, just a friend of the show!) at the Anny Party. I was actually able to collect myself enough to speak to him, & tell him how much I love his work. Very cool!

I doubt that it gets old to hear how much you are loved & admired......

I saw Pamela Anderson a few months ago. She was so hot and really sweet too. I just smiled and said hi and managed to have a pretty normal conversation with her. I saw Russell Crowe last Tuesday. He was sitting behind me at the Devils game but I didn't say anything because I felt bad bothering him.

I met Noel Redding after a show one night, totally unexpectedly (was in back of the club smokin a bone, and he walked out the back door after his set was done), shook his hand, etc. It was weird, because I was more concerned with not looking like a tool since I was buzzed. Very cool guy too.

"OK, which one of you stole my beer?"

Feel free to drop me a line, and have a nice day!

I saw Dennis Miller in NYC this winter riding one of those handsome cab rides with his wife, and I screamed out from the car window, HEY! and he didn't even look at me. I wished he gave me the finger or something, then I could have said he gave me the finger. oh well.

When I was in California a few years ago I ran into both John Vernon (Dean Wormer from Animal House) and Robert Davi (from The Goonies & Licence to Kill) in the same day. I just said hello, they were just out with their families, they dont want to be recognized or bothered.

I was at a Philadeplhia Flyers Hockey game in Philly last year and I was in the bathroom taking a piss, when I looked to my right I saw Dave Mustaine standing there and I was like "Oh SHit it's Dave Mustaine", I just turned and looked forward, finished, washed my hands and walked outside the bathroom. When he exited he was kinda rushing to get to his limo to get to a show that night, but he did stop and sign a couple of autographs for me and I talked with him while he walked with his entourage, very cool guy.

I have worked in the music business in one way or another since the mid 80's...I've been a DJ, a roadie, a writer of interviews and reviews, a photographer...as well as a huge fan of music & other forms of entertainment for years. Over that time I've had the oppurtunity to meet hundreds of well known (& some not so well known) people...and some of them before they really made it... and some long after their 15 minutes was up. Most of the celebrities that I have met, I tend to treat as if they are any other average person...most of them seem to appreciate being treated like a human as opposed to a celebrity... Although, of all of the people I've ever met, the only one who I actually felt in awe of was Johnny Cash. I met the Legendary Man in Black after a concert at Carnigie Hall in the early 90's. After the show, he was being rushed out of the back door to his Limo by his PR people, but he wouldn't leave until he stopped & shook everyone's hand, signed every autograph...& even did a radio ID for me (for some college station I worked at at the time)...It was truly a honor to meet someone who has had such a huge impact on modern music...seeing how he is the only person ever to be part of 3 different Hall of Fame's...Rock n' Roll, Country Music & Songwirters, I guess he truly is a Living Legend.
