| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I dunno, guys. I've been trying the Sports Guys since the beginning. Scott and Sid were pretty good. Sid and random guys sucked. Sid, Craig, Blaine were okay, but I could never really listen for more than 10-15 minutes before getting annoyed. Craig and Blaine... I can listen to for my whole 1 hr 10 min drive. I've figured out why..... Sid was a stats guy. He knew every goddamn stat from 1900 to now. And it was fucking annoying. If you want to hear every stat EVER, go listen to the FAN in the afternoon. Craig and Blaine feed off the "normal guys" formula that makes O&A and R&F so much fun to listen to. Two regular guys that just talk about whatever. O&A base their topics on news and music stuff. R&F, mostly news stories that horribly mutate into something else. The Soprts Guys start with sports stories and do the same thing as the other shows.... just run with it. And hey, they're at like 750,000 already.  Me droogies: Two positions currently available. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Feb. 01 | I think that the sports stats were the best part of the show, but I cant listen to them anymore, Craig is a pain in the ass, he thinks he is better than everyone, he has a real attitude problem, and if I saw him out, and I heard him talk shit, I would not hesitate to knock him the f out. Blaine is fine, he goes with whatever happens, but Craig is the biggest f-tard there is. I totally agree that they are mason and kalinsky II, they will be gone soon. And one million listeners?? Yea right. If they get that number, they lied and cheated. Total bullshit.  | ||||

These guys are trying to make up for thier lack of sports knowlegde by throwing in irrelevant crap that has nothing to do with sports. Sid was a master of statistics. It was great to tune in and hear the opinion of the preceding days games from someone who knew what he was talking about. Now he is gone and so is the credentials of a "Sports Show". Sports guys, you are the weakest link. Bye Bye. Back in Black. I hit the sack. It's been so long. It's good to be back. | ||||

The stats are BORING. I DO NOT FUCKING CARE HOW MANY STRIKEOUTS WERE PITCHED IN THE THIRD GAME OF THE 1964 WORLD SERIES. Why would anyone? It's much nicer to just kick back and listen to a couple guys talking about sports stuff, the same way you might with a friend. As I said, that same formula IS Opie and Anthony as well as Ron and Fez, minus the sports. If your gripe is personal against the guys, that's different.... but saying you'd rather listen to stats.... geez, you must be fun to hang out with in a bar. But the ability to think quickly and not have to make up shit, or just not know, is what made Sidney good. His humour was kinda corny, but I miss hjim and Scotty. If Craig wasnt so mean with people sometimes and especially if you have a belief that he doesnt, he might be interesting. I am a Miami Dolphins fan, have always been, and I have lived in Jersey all my life. According to Craig, I should be a Jets fan, no quesiton. I am a loser fan for being a Dolphins fan. Thats bullshit, location does not determine what team you like. My father was a Dolphins fan and so am I. Craig doesnt like that. FUCK HIM. I think if they are going to stay, they should change their name from menud.., I mean the spoorts guys, to something like the average guys. You know, I guess it is a personal thing with Craig. Oh well, Lets hope he and GOP die in a plane wreck. And todays my birthday, so thats my wish. And I AM fun to hang out in a bar with. | ||||

I agree that too much stats talk is not good BUT sometimes you need to throw around some knowledge of players stats to make a point. I hate when people say so and so is better in this situation or against this opponent and have absolutely nothing to back it up and are talking out of their asses. I don't care how many strikeouts someone had in the 1968 World Series, but I care if he struck out 20 batters. See the difference? If you want to compare players, you gotta talk stats. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | King, if you just hopped on the bandwagon when you were a kid and stuck with it, then yeah you should probably be a Jets or Giants fan.... if it's cause your dad was a Dolphins fan and that's how you got hooked, that's different... if you're raised on a team like that (like I was raised on the Giants, but I wouldn't switch teams if a team got good or I moved) then that's another story, IMO. If you remember how he was when he first came to the show, he was a "holier-than-thou" guy. He realized that wasn't getting the job done and all of a sudden he's a regular joe, and you people buy it. Its an act, f' him. Craig & Blaine are also better than m&k, but I really enjoyed Scott & Sid more than these guys. Scott & Sid were a lot less annoying with the stats than mike & the mad dog, in my opinion.
