And why wouldn't they put Mendi in the finalists position-because she had no chance of winning. If they could only pick 10 Finalists, why not pick people who might win, not Mendi who has a snowball's chance in hell. It was good to see that the adults on this board were able to contribute to this thread with serious replies and thoughts and not bashing Mendi with a lot of hurtful replies. First of all, I totally agree that it should have been the LISTENERS of the show to vote freely and determine IN TRUTH who the winner of the contest should be. It isn't fair to have people on the inside of the show do it for us, or what the heck is the point of putting a contest out there?? Who's to say that one person would win over another?? Damn it, I think we should have the chance to let the votes tell the story, not a select bunch of people in a small office. Mendi, I think your confidence and showmanship are terrific. I don't have that much confidence and I don't pretend to. I think you contribute a lot to the show and even though bigger girls aren't the mainstream, it's cool that you get the word out there for us chicks who aren't a size 4. Is the perception of bigger people going to change in mainstream America? Not in our lifetime. Is that fair? No way. It's just like having a birthmark on your face, or purple hair, or whatever.... it's DIFFERENT and not what is "acceptable". I think arranging the Second Coming would be easier than getting people's perceptions of what's "normal" to change. Being bigger than a size 6 doesn't make me any less of a friend to someone, any less of a gainfully employed person, or love the people in my life any less. I'm still me. Mendi, I applaud your ability to be so confident, for taking part in a show that brings us together for so many things and for not being afraid to take any heat for it. ... and in my opinion, the Ladies of the OA.com board KICK ASS... I can appreciate that Mendi is comfortable with her body and who she is, but it does catch me off guard to see you naked. You are bigger then my taste would go for, but there are those (Like Spaz) who that is just the starting point. But to put it on the flip side, it's no easier for a larger guy either. I wouldn't say I was obese, but I know I am big. And all though there may not be as much pressure on guys like there is on girls, we feel it as well. We get judged just like the women are. Do you think a women would look at Big Kev and say "I need to get me a piece of that?" Of course when you get deeper into it you look at personalities and the way a person treats other people. I don't think anyone is contesting the fact that SOME people (not me) find you attractive. Rather, they didn't find you as attractive as the other contestants. The rules of the contest were set forth before the contest began, and they are consistent with the rules for this type of contest. Bottom line, you lost and you are arguing the rules of the contest. You seem upset because they didn't find you as attractive as you think you are, and that is just ill-fated logic.

I would be happy if I could lose about 10-15 pounds, but if someone doesn't like me for the way I look, that's their loss. I think a lot of guys (and girls) narrow down their playing field because they look at just the outside of someone and not take into consideration what's inside. Remember, looks will fade, so there better be something inside to take its place. Not that this has anything to do with MILF, because obviously, that's just a shallow contest, but it has a lot to do with life in general.  | ||||

If you are fat and hate evey minute of it, then try to better your life! Of course, there is still the fact that a lot of fat people just feel bad about themselves because of the media.
