| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Aug. 00  | ok everyone who is in or has been in a long distance relation ship, this is out to you either if its a state apart, or your g/f ot b/f went away to college or whatever it might be if you see them once a week or maybe u dont get to see them for a month or two whatever your circumstances are or were what do you do to cope with it i know from experience that its very hard, and as i get closer and closer to my man it gets harder and harder to cope with it i need a lil advice to get through the week without my baby WHATEVER BEN -----------------------------------------------------------------  I'M ON THE ISLAND OF MISFIT TOYS! | Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | Phone calls are important, as are e-mails and even instant messages. Don't discount snail mail, either. Send him a pair of your panties, or perhaps an audio tape you've made for him. If you have a camcorder, videos are more gooder. Set aside a specific time/minute every day or night (or even day & night) to think of one another. When next you speak, share what you were thinking. Long distance relationships can be hard, but absence does sometimes make the heart grow fonder. Keep in touch, but also allow him to miss you a little bit. It'll make your time together all the more special. Also, do you drive? Does he? Assuming he's not on the other side of the Country, any reason you two can't meet in the middle every once in a while? Other than that, just be real and honest with eachother and don't let fights go unresolved. Now more than ever, communication is key. Good luck! | ||||

I met a girl from Montana in Atlanta for a convention. We really hit it off. Just when it was about to go somewhere, we both had to go home. She said she would "write" to me but she never did. I called her in Montana only once. That was it. No goodbyes or anything like that. Be very fortunate that you are even IN a relationship. I compare it to the economy.
