| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | This show seems kind of interesting. Anyone going to watch it tonight. MURDER IN SMALL TOWN X. Tonight at 9, Fox The series itself, based on a preview tape that shows all but the final few minutes, is an odd hybrid. It's got elements of the alliances and ejections from "Survivor," the frantic hand-held camera work of "The Blair Witch Project," the spooky dare stunts from MTV's "Fear" and the bad-acting of dinner theater murder mysteries. The 10 contestants play investigators, gathered together to help catch a murderer. At the end of each hour, two of those contestants are dispatched to chase down various clues. One clue leads to the killer, and that unlucky investigator "dies." There are 15 suspects, at least one of whom is cleared each week by the investigators. All of them are seen interacting, with each other and sometimes with certain investigators. It's like an interactive video game, with the "Small Town X" players encountering strange people and dark alleys. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I know you guys are ripping it but remember it is Fox, who are famous for such reality shows as Who wants to marry a Millionaire, Bootcamp and Temptation Island, When Animals Attack, etc. Fox likes to push the envelope more than any other network so it could not be that bad. I will at least check out tonight. | ||||

The more commercials I see for MISTX the more pissed off I get. I hate all that "this is the ultimate in fear" shit, it's a TV show you tools, no one is really dyign. They have pre-written script, pre-filmed/acted segments, horribly hackeneyed lines, these people arne't being who they really are but Mini-detectives. Jesus Christ ... EDIT: Love Cruise? LOVE CRUISE! Holy shit. I mean seriously- ooo temptation boat but with single people so there goes the tempetation angle of it. Wow handsome single people hitting on each other, where do I sign up to watch? The Fall! I can't wait until then, I want to see it NOW. I can't wait to see the pick up lines Mr. Muscles have to hot chick. Oh boy hours of entertainment! And they canceled ACTION. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | Chains of Love, Blind Date, there's this other reality show coming on CBS I think it's called The Ultimate Race where groups race against each other and it's from Jerry Bruckhemier so it's got to be good!. See we'll be bombared with "reality" TV until Survivor goes down. Once Suvivor collapses then they'll finally give up and I hope Survivor 3 goes down in flames. It's not an interesting show but it's responsible for all the rest of this shit. I hate it so much. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I really hate reality TV but Blind Date is actually a good show. It's more of a parody the way they completely goof on the participants with the graphics and subtitles. Sometimes, not often, but sometimes, I like the idea of a chick with a horse. | ||||
