So chill the fuck out, calm the fuck down, and deal with the fact that everything is just fine. There's no need to dwell on things past. But it doesn't fuckin' hurt to try to make things better now, like getting nationalist fucks to relax a bit and see that the US isn't about white, black, red, yellow or whatever we might be. It's about what we've all contributed to make the country better than it was when we were still going through growing pains. Got it? Or do I need to double post this? Christ all mighty......... Not that it needs saying, but I have also read or seen something on the "biological warfare" used on the Indians. Although they didn't understand it, the army (be it French, British, or American) would take the blankets used by the sick and trade them to the Indians. I think everyone here is on your side JBN, and you definitely started something that needs to be talked about, so don't sweat anything anyone says. God knows we have a strong cross-section here. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jul. 01 | my two cents. I grew up WAY differently than you folk. I grew up with little money at the time, wearing the same ripped up crappy clothes and barefoot. Not speaking English. I spoke fluent Navajo and lived on a lil reservation... the closest "white town" being Paradise Hills, New Mexico. Then I came back to New Jersey. I wish I hadn't. I was ignorant of whites ((even tho I am the whitest thing in the fucking world)) and of how people are very petty and stupid with their differences of other people. Which brings to the "Native American/Indian" issue. White European Men came to this land wiping out half of my hertiage. So what tho? I'm here now and don't hold it against people now. They had nothing to do with it personally. And I'm sick of the free ride automatically given to people of my background. I'm half Native, half Euro. I can do almost whatever with the "Native" side. Get into colleges, etc. I don't want to tho. I don't want people in businesses feeling bad for what happened a long time ago. It happened. Get over it. Live for now. I look at it this way, Yes they were here First, but not all of the whites were bad. And yeah it's definitely true that some White folk during that time did give ssome of them Redskins Blankets infected with smallpox, just to get their land. The most you can do is make do with what you have. Shit happens and there is nothing we can really do about it. I'm proud of this country simply because I was born hare, and my relatives before fought to make it better for me. JBN, I know them kinds of people. Look at the bright side, at least it wasn't a guy from the KKK or a Neo-Nazi.  Everyone has a reason to live. My reason is to piss off my opposition because I enjoy their misery. Medical knowledge was limited back then. The state of the art medical treatment, was to put a leech on you. The idea of a contagious disease was virtually unkown. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Jul. 01 | You know what, JBN, my post count might be low, I might not know everyone on here all that well, and I might have been being sarcastic like BBluetarp suggested (and he was right, by the way...since I have read some of your other, more humorous andless serious posts)....but what the real issue of this thread is beginning to become is that you don't like people to be able to express their opinions. Kinda like that whole "If I wanted your opinion I'd tell it to you" life style. In ccase you forget, this country you're so proud of made a concession for free speech a while ago. I can say whatever I want whenever I want to about whoever I please (I just can't yell FIRE in a crowded theater). And you're free to bitch and whine about it as much as you want as well (which, you've already accomplished). So, with that in mind...get over your delusional self-importance and realize that even you, regardless of the topic, stand to be ridiculed with sarcasm every now and again by someone who knows nothing about you and could give a shit less. And besides, my post count might be low, but I lurked here for a while after O&A came to Cleveland and before I registered as a board member. When you posted your original remark, it struck a nerve in me because I had a shitty day and at that point I didn't see the blatant sarcasm you were bringing forth (it was as blatant as usual around here). Plus it was one of those days when I had zero tolerance for wise cracks. Actually it doesn't help at all. So you ask am I hardened? Yes I am, to an extent. Am I bitter? Of course I am, I know this already. Do I take shit the wrong way sometimes? Yes indeed I do, when I don't see it coming as sarcasm. See I have this big problem of saying shit out of anger without really meaning it or knowing what I'm saying till after the fact. Call it verbal diarrhea(sp?) if you would. I can't help it and it can get me into unnecessary arguments (much like this one). I'll end with this, if I conveyed the wrong idea about my original intent, then I'm sorry. If I said the wrong shit and couldn't tell it was a joke, then I'm also sorry. I'm all for discussions/arguments/debates, but I also like to help to solve them when they get out of hand.
