| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00  | Only post here if you NEED a ride or you are willing to GIVE a ride to someone. (or to bring this post back to the top) If you need directions from another location, you can do a Map search of your own. Ok, I've done the research and it appears that there is NO public transportation to this area on weekends. So, please use this thread to let others know that you either need a ride or you are willing to help out by giving someone a ride. Please be sure to give a location of where you are leaving from & how someone can contact you via E-mail or IM. Ok Boys & Girls…here you go…as descriptive directions as I can give: I took the liberty to put up a few maps to give you an idea of where you are going. The route you need to travel is highlighted in purple for your convienence. If you decide to get your own directions from a map generator, the actual location is: 91 East Springtown Road; Long Valley, NJ. Here is an overview of the area showing Rt.’s 80, 287 & 78  And here is a close-up of the same location  Directions: From NYC Via GWB: Rt. 95 to Rt. 80W. (approx . 45-50 miles) to Exit 26 {Rt. 46W. Budd Lake} Follow Rt. 46W (approx. 4.5-4.75 miles) and make a LEFT on Naughtright Rd. {Exxon Station & Johnson Dodge on corner}. Follow Naughtright Rd. (approx. 3.3 miles) and make a RIGHT on to East Springtown Road. Follow E. Springtown Rd. (approx. 0.4 mile) and make LEFT into Schooley’s Mountain County Park {there is a small #91 on the sign for the park} From NYC Via Lincoln Tunnel: Rt. 495 to Rt. 3W to Rt. 46W to Rt. 80W. (approx. 45-50 miles) to Exit 26 {Rt. 46W. Budd Lake} Follow Rt. 46W (approx. 4.5-4.75 miles) and make a LEFT on Naughtright Rd. {Exxon Station & Johnson Dodge on corner}. Follow Naughtright Rd. (approx. 3.3 miles) and make a RIGHT on to East Springtown Road. Follow E. Springtown Rd. (approx. 0.4 mile) and make LEFT into Schooley’s Mountain County Park {there is a small #91 on the sign for the park} From Ramapo NY Area: Rt. 87S to Rt. 287S to Rt. 80W (approx . 45-50 miles) to Exit 26 {Rt. 46W. Budd Lake} Follow Rt. 46W (approx. 4.5-4.75 miles) and make a LEFT on Naughtright Rd. {Exxon Station & Johnson Dodge on corner}. Follow Naughtright Rd. (approx. 3.3 miles) and make a RIGHT on to East Springtown Road. Follow E. Springtown Rd. (approx. 0.4 mile) and make LEFT into Schooley’s Mountain County Park {there is a small #91 on the sign for the park} below are detailed maps of the area from Rt. 46: Here is an overview of Rt. 46 & Naughtright Road  Here is a close-up of the same area  From Holland Tunnel: HUDSON ST becomes HOLLAND TUNNEL. Follow to Rt. 78W (towards US 1&9S/Pulasky Skyway --*editor’s note*-this way can be confusing when you first get out of the tunnel & go towards Rt. 78, so pay attention) Continue on Rt. 78W to Rt.287N.Take 287N to (exit 22B) Rt. 206N. Take Rt.206N (approx. 12-15 miles) to Rt. 24W in the town of Chester (Rt. 24W is also known as County Road 513 & East Mill Rd) follow 24W/CR-513 (approx. 5 miles) and make a RIGHT (you’ll be in the center of a small town) onto Rt. 24W/Schooley’s Mountain Rd. {it’s a windy uphill ride}. Follow Rt. 24/Schooley’s Mt. Rd. (approx. 0.8 mile) and make RIGHT on to Camp Washington Road. {you’ll pass entrance to another section of the same park on this road with the #54 on it, DO NOT go to park #54, go past it to park #91} Follow Camp Washington Rd. (approx. 0.75 mile) and it will merge into East Springtown Road. Continue on E. Springtown Rd. (approx. 0.25 mile) and make RIGHT into Schooley’s Mountain County Park. {there is a small #91 on the sign for the park} From New Brunswick (& south Jersey) area: (South Jersey can get Rt. 287 from Garden State Parkway)Take 287N to (exit 22B) Rt. 206N. Take Rt.206N (approx. 12-15 miles) to Rt. 24W in the town of Chester (Rt. 24W is also known as County Road 513 & East Mill Rd) follow 24W/CR-513 (approx. 5 miles) and make a RIGHT (you’ll be in the center of a small town) onto Rt. 24W/Schooley’s Mountain Rd. {it’s a windy uphill ride}. Follow Rt. 24/Schooley’s Mt. Rd. | Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | question on directions i am coming from brooklyn going through the city to the tunnel is a bit of a hassle as far as traffic. To get into the city is about 25 mins then saturday waiting to get into the tunnel alone is gonna be almost an hour. Then a 50 mile drive from there. Can i take the SI expressway to the NJ turnpike? Boogaloo gave me directions from there which way would be quicker? I have never driven this far into jersey so i don't know. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jan. 01 | I live 5 minutes from the field, but I will be willing to make a trip to the train station if any of you are coming that way. I will drive down to Morristown to make 1 and only 1 pickup. I can fit 3 in my car. If you would like me to pick you up, IM me or e-mail me and let me know that. I think it's around $14 for a round trip ticket from Hoboken to Morristown, but I'm not 100% sure of that. If there's alot of people that want to take the train, maybe someone else could make a pickup down there too.  | ||||
