| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Dec. 00 | IT jobs aren't really lessening. The problem is there are more people to fill a still growing increase in IT positions. You can thank the assholes of the Dot Com craze for it. It's an employer's market. They can now be picky about who they chose. The industry hit the worst is telecoms. They're laying off people by the thousands in the last few months. The slight dip in the economy isn't helping matters better.  Into each person's life a little pain must fall. I'm just here to administer it. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Grumpy, I work in It for a brokerage firm, and we just closed up 2 Eurpean exchanges and got rid of about 250 other people who were expendable and we a re a multi million dollar firm. They are cutting costs everywhere and also are hiring less. I also agree they are being much more pickier now. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: May. 00 | Hopefully the market will stablize within two-three years later. I know it will be better for me when I'm looking for a job by then. BTW is anyone watching the proxy battle over Computer Assoiciates? Things could get real interesting at the aug 29th meeting. Could equal to the war vs. WAAF.
