| O&A Board Regular Registered: May. 00  | Me and some people at the softball game talked about the possiblity of having a board outing where all of us will converge in Times Square to see Kevin Smith's latest masterpiece. Now why would anyone go to NYC to see a movie? Well our own CriticsLoveSnatch is going away to school near DC (in another syndicated market!) and this is an opporunity to say goodbye to him and other kids going back to school. (Me included) The movie comes out Wed. Aug 22nd. I'm giving as much advance time as I can for this. Now which you would prefer Wed. the 22nd or Fri the 24th Give me your input on what time you'd prefer to see the movie. In the day? or At night? I can't get advance showtimes yet, but the two theaters on 42nd street seem to have a lot of showtimes for certain movies. (There are 50 screens total!) But, to try and get a theatre for all of us, would be impossible the opening weekend. Maybe like Monday or Tuesday of the next week. It's just "I love you" can mean a lot of things, like "You'll do till someone better comes along", or "I can't describe how I really feel but I know I'm supposed to say this", or "Shut up, I'm watchin' TV"...  | ||||

| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | Writing the AP2 review made me realize how JSBSB has my balls in an enthusiastic grip more than this movie ever did. You have to give Smith credit. He broke onto the scene in 1994 and has produced a bunch of comics, made 4 movies and a TV series. Tarantino first came to a larger consciousness in 1994 and has only done one movie since then, he planned a second one but because Uma Thurman got pregnant that's on hold. Uma being pregnant will only mean he works on other stuff in interim, and not that he's going to replace her. They are working back on forth on both films.  | ||||

A regular admission in Manhattan costs about $10! A early time would be about $6. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | well, i work til about 11 on the weekends, so unless you go to a late show, i guess i'm sol. and i thought some of the big theatres in the city didn't have a matinee price, so i'd make sure you check that out before you go. and, well, if you're gonna be in times square, after the movie, why don't ya hop on the 1/9 train to 103rd st and come visit me. (i know, it sounds far, but it's really only about a 10 minute ride) we've got burgers and hotdogs, and, most importantly, beer. but enough plugging, i just miss the comfort of knowing i'd see everyone on a regular basis at bar 9. Pick a theater and a time and we can all get our tickets through Moviefone in advance or something. why do I say I'm fine when it's obvious I'm not? why's it so hard to tell you what I want? why can't you just read my mind? | ||||

| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | I was just reading Newsaskew and for those who care/seeing it away from the OA.com group, apparently Dimension Films (interestingly enough the FOURTH release company Smith has worked with for his FIVE films) is having some Saturday night 'sneak' showings (they did it with Rat Race last week) this Saturday.
