Besides the new GeForce3, They say the Hercules Geforce2 is the best card out there, But it's also hard to find in stores and takes awhile to get over the net, Does anyone have or know if the Voodoo 5 is good, or is the geforce 2 worth waiting for. I don't know enough about cards to know the difference?

Don't bother with a Voodoo 5. You have to decide if you should get a Geforce 2, 3, or a Radeon. The Geforce 3 will come out this month for around $500-600. A Radeon costs as much as a high end Geforce 2, and has slightly less graphical power, but tv in-out and the best dvd quality. It's really on a decision on what you need it for and how much money you have.

adolescentmasturbator, it's strictly for gaming purposes, don't care about the DVD or the TV outputs, I just want my games to look good and run smooth

Cracksweat if thats what you need get a Geforce. If you a lot of money to burn get a Geforce3. But If you are in the 200-300 range get a Geforce 2 but get an Elsa not a Hercules. The Elsa is better. I have a Geforce 2 OEM and I am perfectly happy with it. It plays Quake III so smooth at 1024x860x32.

I gotta agree, definitely go with a GeForce - I've got a GF2MX - SDRAM, but its sweet for me - no lockups, no pixelation, smooth as silk. Besides, didn't Nvidia buy out 3DFX? If so, I would think Glide is gonna go the way of the dinosaur very soon. Everything is mainly OpenGL or D3D these days anyway.

I opted for the GeForce2 MX as well. From everything I've read the Detonator drivers make the whole GeForce 2 line blow away any of the VooDoo cards. Also, 3dFx was just bought by Nvidia. The cards are going away is the rumor so it will make support and new drivers a bitch.
