I'm giving the warning right now. Rent before you buy this one. See if you will like it.

Fans of No Mercy for N64 probably won't like it. While they attempt to make you believe it's similar, it's more close to Smackdown for the PS2. Fans of Smackdown will probably hate this complicated evasion and reversal tackics.

The main focus Yukes makes about the game the the reversals and crap. For the most part, it's very difficult to pull off. You have to press L for grapple attacks, R for striking attacks, then there's this whole A+X and direction thing I'm still trying to figure out. No Mercy kept it simple, one friggin' button.

Tthe music is torture, pure torture. It's this sappy techno nonsense that keeps repeating over and over. It makes you wish they put the choppy commentary to drown it out. You want to give yourself a Tombstone after five minutes of it.

The CAW is interesting but also very limited.

The plus about the game is the features it has in the matches. Hell in the Cell is alot more realistic than in other games. It's not purely a cage with a top. Table matches are also better. You no longer have to climb on top of the table to break it.

And much like other wrestling games out there now, physics be damned. Steph McMahon could powerbomb the Big Show if she wanted to.

I'm not saying it's the greatest game out there as well. Takes a bit of getting used to. I'm enjoying playing, but I sorely miss the features of No Mercy.

Hopefully, THQ will get the message on how many flaws are in the game, like it seems they got the message about RAW for X-Box.

That's probably the most ironic thing; Many people who played No Mercy have said that the only really bad thing about it was the graphics, and that the gameplay was solid.

So There.
