O&A Board Veteran Registered: Feb. 01	LucasArts and the creators of Age of Empires have something new up their sleeves for RTS fans. February 27, 2001 Well, you've heard the rumors about the "consulting" job that Ensemble has been doing for LucasArts involving another possible RTS set in the Star Wars universe, and now we're here to tell you that it is rumor no longer. LucasArts has announced that they are indeed working with Ensemble Studios, famed progenitors of Age of Empires, to create a new RTS entitled Star Wars Battlegrounds. "All of at us at Ensemble are huge Star Wars fans and we’re very pleased to be partners with LucasArts in creation of Star Wars Battleground," says Ensemble Studios CEO Tony Goodman. "The passion and talent of the LucasArts team blends well with our Real Time Strategy game expertise to make the Star Wars universe a compelling and fun game experience." But that isn't where it ends. The press release indicates that the deal also entales starting an RTS franchise based on the Star Wars license...as long as everything goes as well as planned. Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00	True... the next JEDI game was due out months ago I read about it in PC GAMER. it supposed to be like the THIEF series and I don't think it ever came out.. Well hey Still waiting on DUKE NUKEM 3D and half life 2 :)

Psychopath Registered: Dec. 00	Didb't they already come out with a real-time strategy game for Star Wars? And didn't it suck ass? I hope they do better this time, but also I hope its not just Age of Empires with a Star Wars overlay. Backstreet Boys or N*Sync? Both of them. Locked in a house, on fire, surrounded by trick fire extinguishers filled with gasoline.
