According to 1wrestling.com, an associate of John Collins, now notorious for totally fucking up the Main Event Championship Wrestling organization, announced that Collins has officially declared MECW dead and is planning on starting a NEW "national" wrestling organization to serve as an alternative to the WWF. According to another website (Live Audio Wrestling), Collins, who is calling the fed New Wave Championship Wrestling, announced on an indy show that he has no money problems (ha!) and that his new fed will feature MECW champ Curt Hennig, Jerry Lawler, Brian Christopher, and Val Venis; apparently no one informed Collins that Val, despite not being on TV, is still under contract with the WWF.
