lol, i don't think he ruined anything, that was an even shittier ppv than unforgiven, all this speculation about Y2J or the Rock turning heel and nothing happened, the lingerie match was the highlight of the night, the triple threat could have been better, UT won again, gee i never saw that coming..

I'm with rage, this was a pretty shitty PPV. Rock & Y2J was entertaining, but like he said, no heel turn. And since Rocky lost his belt, I knew Austin wasn't losing his. Triple threat was decent, but the highlight of the night was definitely the lingirie match - NICE!

How could you say it was a shitty ppv? Because neither rock or y2j turned heel? Wow they actually had a fantastic match with everything in it and the ending was fairly clean, with no heel turn. Great to see the stroke used on the rock.

And edge vs christian was great, did you want someone running in on that too? I dont think so. Triple threat was good, not great but good. I really hate shane mcmahon though. Test winning is always a plus. And the lingerie match was great of course :)

Actually, he does have one skill: he has the skill to convince the higher-ups that he's STILL a major player, despite the fact that his in-ring skills have gone to shit (and considering he's never had that many skills to begin with, that's saying a lot) and any personality he had has evaporated.

UT = a paler version of the Hulkster, minus the charisma that let Hulk remain at least somewhat entertaining.

I did not see one minute of the PPV because I am away at school, but from what I read on the internet it sounded like a really sh*tty PPV. The only thing that sounded even remotly positive was Y2J winning, but even then neither of them turned heel. My friend even told me The Rock even kinda congradulated him after the match, whats up with that?

Why did anyone haveto turn heel? What's wrong with just letting two of the most popular guys in the business go at it without having either one turn his back on the fans?

ANd let's face it: heaven forbid they turn the Rock and risk negatively affecting his acting career (sounds stupid, but it can happen), and who doesn't enjoy Jericho's verbal assaults on Stephanie? I think they did the right thing here.

You got it - Rocky had a cahir in his hand, like he was gonna deck Y2J with it, he says a few things, lowers and hands the chair to Y2J - exit Rocky from the ring. THJATS why I said that match was a let down. As a whole, great moves and skill, no argument there, but I thought the end of it was a huge let-down, and pretty much anti-climactic.

I guess you just cant satisfy everyone. If there was a screwjob, i guarantee you more people wouldve hated it. I personally dont see how it is a letdown having 2 of the best performers go at it, and not having a screwjob. Great match, and it puts Y2J over so much, and shows that wrestlers can actually have a somewhat clean ending.

What did you expect from this PPV? Great things?

Sorry, but I'm finding the WWF to be more boring by the minute. The over-exposure has killed them. I mean, you put on two two-hour shows per week.... hey guess what? You get to see things over and over and over. Why? Well, they devote one month to an angle that leads up to a PPV. That's eight shows - sixteen full hours - of the same angles. So you have to basically watch eight matches/segments of the same people going after the same people, leading up to the ninth, deciding (sometimes) match at the PPV, long after you've stopped caring about the angle.

And even when interesting things happen, okay, you get maybe a good 10 minutes out of the show. The rest of the two hours usually consist of the same old shit.

Granted, I have no idea how this can be fixed.... if it can at all. But the ratings definitely show that people do NOT care anymore. They've got the potential of a HUGE audience. Take their USA RAW 6.0, subtract one for the people who don't get TNN... 5.0. Then add WCW's fans, let's say 2.0, cut down to maybe 1.6 for the TNN factor again... 6.6 total. So why are they in the 4's?!

And don't get me started on Undertaker. He's so lazy, the only fair match he could have nowadays would be against Kevin Nash.

well said logic, its all just too much.

They dont need all these shows, its overexposure.

ANd I have no idea how people actually dish out 30 bucks a month for these Pay Per Views. Nothing ever happens at these things. I have a hard time watching these things and I get them for free. The only difference between a Raw and a Pay Per View, is 3 hours instead of 2, No Commercials, and less interviews and more wrestling. Besides that, Nothing extraordinary happens.

And the main thing hurting Wrestling right now is the Lack of Competition. I long for the days just a couple of years ago when WCW still had a clue, and ECW was unpopular but a great Wrestling Fed, and the WWF was coming on strong. That was great. This sucks, The WWF has no drive and they are living off their prosperity.

Vince McMahon buying WCW seemed cool at the time, but that is a major factor as to why Wrestling is going back on the decline after a mega boom for the past few years.

At it's peak, wrestling pulled in a combined 10.1 rating on Monday night. Now, with one show, it's a 4.1. People just aren't watching any more, and why should they? Raw these days is about as edgy and unpredictable as a square dance.

i've just stopped watching wrestling most of the time.i watch once about mid way throught the month to see the current angles, and then just read up in here on whats going on that i missed.it saves time, and the sheer boredom that is wrestling today.when was the last good hardcore match(wwf or ecw style),ANY semi-decent lightweight hi-fly match, or a good badass taz/rhino/similar "big" guy asskicking?i havent seen any recently(but i only watch once a month now...maybe i missed a good one).but still, they need competition again.anything to get the wwf to stop being lazy and make people WANT to watch, not watch because there's nothing else on for their demographic

Easy, you get 6 guys together and then you pay $5 to see it.

Seriously though, it's the same thing over and over again. I miss the days when you couldn't miss RAW because something unbelievable happened every show. Like Austin visiting McMahon in the hospital, or if some of DX was going to join the corporation. I don't get that feeling from the shows anymore. That's why wrestling is down. Throw in the fact that most of the storylines are WWF vs WCW, which is similar to the one WCW used that put it out of business (WCW vs NWO constantly). It's going to be awhile before they finally learn how to do it right again.

no mercy is the last ppv im ordering, 2 years ago if you said it would be SCSA vs. Kurt Angle vs. Rob Van Dam for the WWF title, people would have been going crazy in excitement, so how come it didn't work out at no mercy? just another example of how the WWF fucked what could have been a great angle into a shitty one, if you don't have competition you don't bring out the best of the product

I agree that the shows have sucked lately, but i just can't stop watching. i'll just keep hoping for things to turn good again. i missed the PPV for the first time in a long time and i wish i saw it. the Rock/Y2J match sounded good. plus i wanted to see the bra/panties match. i think i will continue to watch wrestling for a long long time, just so i don't have to watch my wifes shows.

and i like the idea no one turned heel last night in the Rock/Y2J match. it always seems you need a bad vs good guy in order to have a feud or series of matches. i like the idea of just not liking a guy and fighting for the gold....at least your more likely to get a clean match.
