Why, Kurt? Why?
In a recorded segment, Kurt Angle answers some of the fans' questions. He is still Our Olympic Hero, and still an American Hero. He is what makes this country great: he's a winner. He started to think about who else is a winner. Who does he want on his side when everything is on the line? Undertaker? Angle did more in two years that Taker did in a decade. Kane? He lets the man who burned him as a child lead him around on a leash. Jericho? Rock? Those are the two most self-absorbed jerks in the history of the business. He is supposed to put his career in the hands of those four people? There is only one man who typifies winning: Stone Cold Steve Austin. Think about it. No Mercy, SummerSlam, Judgement Day, King of the Ring, WrestleMania. Does Austin cheat? Yes. Does he play fair? No. But when it's all on the line, does he get the job done? Oh hell yeah. Angle feels safe putting his career in Austin's hands. Austin is without a doubt, the toughest SOB he's ever faced, and Austin knows how to win. As much as Kurt loves his country, he loves his job just as much. He'll be damned if he had to put his job in the hands of those WWF losers. Kurt never lied. He never said he wouldn't defect. He used intensity, integrity, and intelligence. And now that he is with Shane and Austin, he knows he'll be employed after Survivor Series, and that way, the fans will get to see more of Kurt. It's true. It's damn true.

Outside, Kane smashes Kurt's face into the stairs, and uppercuts him over the barrier. Kane whips Angle into the barrier and then elbows him back over. Suddenly, Austin appears form the crowd and smacks Kane with a chair. He rams it into Kane's foot until Taker rushes down and chases Austin away. Meanwhile, Angle works on the now-injured foot, by smashing it against the stairs. Kurt rolls Kane into the ring and stomps on the ankle. Mounted punches by Angle, who then sits on the ankle. Kane kicks Angle away, but Angle trips him and drops elbows on the ankle. Angle locks in a mini-figure four around Kane's foot, but Kane elbows him back and crawls to the corner. Angle grabs at Kane's foot, but the big man lays out Angle with an enziguri. Back body drop to Angle, and a clothesline in the corner. Vertical suplex by Kane, then another, then another, and yet another! Kane stumbles up and goes up the turnbuckle for the Flying Clothesline. Kane crawls up and looks for the chokeslam, but Angle kicks out Kane's feet and goes for the AngleLock, but Kane flips out of it. Chokeslam to Angle, but Kane falls down on his injured ankle. Kane looks down at Angle and goes for his own Ankleock, but Kurt flips away. Kane picks up Angle and looks for the Tombstone, but Angle crawls down his leg and trips him, locking in the AngleLock! In the back, Austin and Angle are admiring the medals and hat, when RVD comes in. They want to talk to him about his match. RVD got his ass kicked by Edge last Monday, and it better not happen again. RVD tries to explain, but between Austin "what?"-ing and Angle repeating everything Austin says, he can't get in a word.

Edge vs. Rob Van Dam (WWF Hardcore Title)
Reversals of arm wrenches, and Edge shoulder blocks RVD down, but RVD takes out his legs with a roundhouse trip. RVD gets a chair and tosses it into Edge's face 1-2-kickout. In the back, Vince knows that Undertaker will bring the WWF Title back to the WWF. Vince knows Taker is upset that Vince doubted him on Monday, but all he asks for is a victory. Taker has to win tonight. Taker tells Vince not to worry about Austin because he's getting his ass kicked. As for doubting his loyalty, Vince can kiss Taker's ass. NICE! I have missed Austin drinkin' the brew after a match. They should bring this back and ease-off (or drop) the "what? what?" crap. It was funny at first, but after a while, enough is enough. Looks like another winner!

sounds pretty good, just a matter of time before Y2J or The Rock turn or something like that, Angle is totally setting Austin up, with that sneer behind his back, I knew it would be kinda like that, Austin, Angle & RVD will turn on ECWCW at S.Series, and they will be back in the WWF

I have had enough with Sig Pics, I should have gotten adopted!

In an odd occurrence, a match from the Smackdown taping was left off the show. In it, Christian beat Bradshaw for the Euro title. The reasoning was a lack of airtime; yet, several backstage 'filler' segments were kept. Great to see where the WWF's priorities are

Man it's a wrestling show, not stupid segments with people like Steph..
