I am not saying how the match went etc. I'm talking about the type of match and the ideas around it and the best type of match I ever saw had to be the Iron Man Match. Whoever thought of that was a genious. Michaels/Hart was amazing, and HHH/Rock well it sucked but it was in 2000 so everything sucked then. Great thinking behind the idea. I also liked the buried alive match, pretty cool. Whats your favorite type of match?

Rageparty, if you liked the Michaels/Hart Ironman Match, try to get your hands on the Bret Hart/Owen Hart, Bret Hart/Ric Flair, and Ricky Steamboat/Rick Rude Ironman Matches. All of them are WAY better than Michaels/Hart (which I agree, was a great match).

I'm rather fond of a "Shoots and Ladders" match myself (let's see how many JAPW fans remember that one :))...

Seriously, I'm just a sucker for a falls-count-anywhere match, especially during ECW's glory days at Viking Hall.

First off, rageparty, the HHH/Rock IronMan match was much better than the 30 minute headlock snoozefest and disappointment that was Bret/Shawn at WM 12. There was great action and great psychology used in the HHH/Rock match. The Bret / Shawn match was both guys resting, getting ready for the final 30 minutes, which were great! but the lack of action in the first 30 minutes killed it. I realize obviously nobody is gonna be able to wrestle non stop for an hour, but there are ways to mask it and not make it be so obvious you are just using restholds early for that purpose, and HHH and Rock did that, shockingly Bret and Shawn didn't. That match's legend status is basically a factor of the WWF hype machine making it out to be the greatest match ever, when it was not, it was just a very good match that with THOSE TWO GUYS shoulda been alot better.

Plus, it would be NICE IF BRET AND SHAWN PUT EGO AND HATRED OF EACH OTHER ASIDE and you know, had pinfalls and stuff to build the match, and each other up.

As for Buried Alive matches, I hope your kidding, WNEWs Girl. You seem like a nice person who means no harm, but someone in the WWF might read that and get ideas that will hurt only the fans. Buried Alive matches are generally #231 on the "Worst Ideas Ever" List.

My pick: Hell in a Cell Matches. I'd say ladder matches, but we've seen so many recently, it actually loses meaning. Outside of that Taker-Bossman atrocity at Wrestlemania 15, the Hell in a Cell never produces a bad match, usually produces classics (HBK-Taker, Mankind-Taker, HHH-Mankind) or at least veeeeeeeeery good matches (The 6 man at last year's December PPV), and are used only once or twice a year, if even that, to keep them "special."

It might have been boring for you Diamond Dust. But back then Michaels and Hart were my two favorite wrestlers and to see them go at it for the WWF title at Wrestlemania in an Iron Man Match was amazing. Another great match has to be the Cage match. Probably one of the oldest matches made. So many great cage matches...

No question about it: Battle Royal/Royal Rumble type match, over the top rope elimination. Most exciting match of them all, although its more predictable who will win now than it was before. Still cool to watch.
