I'm sure he made his feelings more apparent to people than he would like us to believe in this interview - he probably mouthed off to a few of the wrong people, and the guys heard about it and decided to make it a little tougher for him. The bag-carrying and the "unwritten rule" about not flying in first class is one thing (and is really a silly thing to complain about), but the hazing thing is another. There is a fine line between teasing and ribbing, and physically, mentally, and emotionally abusing someone. Call me crazy, but attacking a guy in the showers, hogtying him, covering him in baby oil, and threatening him with rape until he breaks down is in no way, shape, or form "just a joke." It's just fucking sick. (And before anyone says anything, no, I'm not referring to the Charles Robinson incident, but rather a similar incident that reportedlyt took place about three years ago, the details of which have resurfaced since Silverman's accusations)  Sig Pic Approved By IrishAlkey | ||||

Sure, some forms of hazing can be cruel and should not be allowed, but from what was said in the interview, nothing Billy Silverman went through crosses the line. He got heat with guys in the company who have been there for years for upgrading to first class, so they gave him some shit for it. Boo hoo. He should have realized something was wrong when he was up front in first class, while Kurt Angle's in the back. Anyway, just to show what a kook Silverman is, let's look at a few of his quotes...quote: On the surface, this sounds pretty bad. But we have no idea about the context in which it happened. Basically, I don't doubt that some sort of hazing goes on. Come on, the WWF was doing well early this year, and then they bring in a bunch of guys from a failed company with a notoriously chaotic locker room environment. What did anyone expect, the WCW guys to be welcomed backstage with open arms? I think they needed to keep these guys in line from the beginning, and without going to management about every little thing, some form of hazing is necessary. Bottom line, nobody's forcing anybody to work for the WWF. Besides, if you read Dynamite Kid's book, the backstage shit he talks about going on in the 80's is MUCH worse than anything Silverman alleges. EDIT - Response to Peach's comments quote: Ok crazy ;), but consider the source of this story. It was reported by Bob Ryder, the same guy who said that Bret Hart was going to lead the WCW Invasion. He quotes Anonmyous Wrestler A talking about a situation involving Anonymous Wrestler B. For all we know, he made it up. Or, he did talk to a wrestler with a grudge against the WWF, and got some false or embelleshed information. Or, maybe it really did happen.
