Intercontinental Championship: Edge (c) vs. William Regal Owner vs. Owner: Ric Flair vs. Vince McMahon WWF Championship: Chris Jericho (c) vs. the Rock The Royal Rumble: -Val Venis -Goldust -"Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig -The Godfather -The Undertaker -Kurt Angle -Stone Cold Steve Austin -Triple H ...and of course 22 other guys yet to be named. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | CLuster, they did not come back on Smackdown but they were announced for the Royal Rumble: courtesy prowrestling.com WWF SmackDown Tapings Results: SmackDown! starts off with Stephanie McMahon and Debra in the backstage area. Stephanie has a backstage pass and is allowed into the arena. She tells Debra that HHH will kick Austin’s ass at the Royal Rumble. She says she has better things to do now and walks off. The Smackdown video rolls and the pyros explode! We’re in MSG for WWF SmackDown! Stephanie McMahon comes to the ring and starts rambling about everything and anything. She talks about Triple H’s return Monday night and says that HHH would never even have been as good as he is if it wasn’t for her! She is the reason why he is so popular! If Stephanie broke her finger, Triple H would be there for her! She then talks about Ric Flair and says how he is no good for what he did to her last week. Security finally comes out and hauls her out of the ring. We see Lance Storm and Christian in the back. There talking about how they will win the WWF Tag Team titles tonight in Tazz’s hometown of New York City! Lance bashed New York Knicks to a loud chorus of boo’s. Tazz/Spike Dudley vs. Lance Storm/Christian – WWF Tag Team Titles Tazz/Spike retain titles after a Tazzmission on Christian. After the match, The Dudley Boyz run down and chase Tazz and Spike out of the ring. We go to commercial! Looks like Tazz/Spike vs. Dudley’s is a match @ the Royal Rumble PPV! On the Titantron, we see that three FORMER WWF superstars will be inducted into the Royal Rumble tonight. The first is none other then, Val Venis. More to come throughout the show. (Venis was NOT at the show, it was just announced) Edge vs. Bossman Bossman got demoted pretty quick huh? Bossman isn’t all that bad in the ring for being out for so long. Edge went for the Edgeacution on Bossman, but Bossman tripped so they had to do it again. Hopefully they edit that out come Thursday. Edge hits it the second time for the 1,2,3 and the win. After the match, William Regal shows up on the Titantron and tells Edge he wants a match @ the Royal Rumble. So, it’s Edge vs. Regal for the IC Title at the Royal Rumble. We go to commercial after that match! When we come back, we find out that Goldust is the second former WWF superstar to be added to the Royal Rumble. There’s still one more. Angle is shown backstage. He says Goldust is a FREAK and if he wanted to see Freaks, all he would have to do is step outside the arena and walk down to West Manhattan. There’s a whole bunch of them there! Everyone starts chanting What? What? And Angle gets pissed off. He says that if they chant What one more time, he will challenge Stone Cold Steve Austin to a match right there in NYC tonight. Of course, they chant What? And a match has been signed! We see Booker T going in the bathroom. In the background, you here noises from someone who is using the toilet. Booker T starts yelling to quiet down and when the door opens, out walks Rikishi! Booker T and Rikishi stand next to the mirror and Booker sprays Deodorant on Rikishi. Booker asks who he is facing tonight because he sure feels bad for them. Rikishi says that he will be “backing that ass up on Booker T tonight’ RVD/Rock vs. Jericho/Test Great match here. The match had awesome pops throughout with most of the signature moves being hit. Jericho missed a lionsault to which The Rock countered into a Spinebuster. With Jericho down and Test distracted, Rock applied the Sharpshooter for the 1,2,3! Interesting note: RVD came out to an all new Theme and Video. Very Cool! Vince McMahon and Jim Ross were shown backstage setting up for some sort of an interview. We go to commercial and when we return…. Jim Ross interviewed Vince McMahon backstage to talk about his match @ the Royal Rumble. They talked about HHH’s return on RAW and how the crowd reaction was unbelievable. He says that at the Royal Rumble, he will humiliate Flair. He hopes that Ric Flair’s family is at ringside to watch him get his ass beat. This went WAY long and took up lots of time, Booker T vs. Rikishi Booker hits the Ax Kick on Rikishi followed by the Spinorooni! Rikishi then gets up and kicks him into the corner. Rikishi gives him the stinkface. Booker T runs out of the ring and goes over to the announce table where Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are. Booker T, this is no joke, vomits all over Michael Cole because of the Stinkface. Michael Cole then gets sick at the fact Rikishi threw up on him which causes Cole, yes you guessed it, to vomit! Michael Cole gets up and leaves leaving Jerry Lawler alone at the announce booth! Godfather and Curt Hennig has been added to the Royal Rumble match. Jim Ross comes down to ringside to replace the 'sick' Michael Cole. The Rock cut a hilarious backstage promo talking about Y2J Chris Jericho. He talks about everything and anything doing his Finally, The Rock has come back to New York City deal. Hilarious stuff said in this one. A must watch on Thursday! Terri/Jazz vs. Jackie/Trish Jazz and Terri came on ontop of this one when Jazz gave Trish a fish bone suplex. After the match, Jackie got in the ring and tossed Jazz to the outside and then tendered to a down Trish. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle Stone Cold Steve Austin hits a stunner on Kurt Angle to end the match. Kane's pyro's goes off. Kane chokeslams Austin and then Angle! Then the Big Show comes out. Big Show and Kane standing in the ring. They both try to chokeslam each other with Big Show getting the best of Kane. With Big Show alone in the ring, HHH's music hits and he walks down real slow. Big Show/HHH in the ring. HHH starts punching Big Show, but he doesn't move. HHH kicks him in the balls and Pedigree's him. Undertaker's music hits and he comes out to the top of the stage. HHH and Undertaker have a staredown as SmackDown! goes off the air!  | ||||

This Rumble is going to be awsome, Val used to be a pretty good performer before he joined the RTC, Goldust was to me, a hilarious gimmick (I wonder how Terri will feel about this) and Mr. Perfect is a perfect addition to the Rumble. The Regal/Edge issue is working out pretty good too. Smackdown sounds OK. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | I read an article at RajahWWF.Com that the WWF is making the Goldust/Mr. Perfect dealie a One-Night thing.
