I know Steiner will be in WWF soon, but he is a standup guy, and he will be at the PPV as of now. Some of these matches dont look too bad, especially the crusierweight survival match. Worth watching if ya have one of those boxes like i "allegedly" do.

This match alone has my interest. Low Ki just rawks, and being a Nova mark is a guilty pleasure of mine.

DAMN! Just as they are gonna have a decent PPV, the announcers at the show suck. Ive never heard of Jeremy Borash (i might have but dont remember), and Mark Madden is a loser. Why the hell dont they get Joey Styles and Joel Gertner to do this PPV?? Anyway, here is the article.

Announce Team Set For WWA PPV
Posted By Ashish on 02.11.02

The announcers for the WWA PPV will be Jeremy Borash and Mark Madden. Disco Inferno is also expected to provide color commentary for a few matches.

The WWA PPV will take place on February 24th from the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas.

If you saw their last PPV, Borash was the play-by-play guy there as well.

Looks like I might have to mute the whole show.

Undercard looks solid. Top of the card will probably suck (let me guess, Jarrett vs. Steiner, yippie-fucking-doo)...

Jeremy Borash hosted the great WCW Live, internet show that they had on WCW.com for their last couple of years. He actually had an on air TV role for the final months of WCW. But since it was the final months of WCW, that means nobody saw it.

And Mark Madden is just worse than Aids.

Looks to be a good card. I'll probably order it, since I need ANYTHING but the WWF right now.

As for the main, I'd be HAPPY with Steiner v. Jarrett. I'm very afraid that Road Dogg will somehow be in the final match.

The Main Event for the WWA PPV was just named as Randy Savage vs Jeff jarrett, which should be a very entertaining match. Here are some more notes on the status of the WWA as a whole, some pretty interesting names come up here.

WWA News & Notes: PPV Main Event Announced, Sting, Goldberg, More

-The February 24th PPV will be headlined by a Jeff Jarrett vs. Randy Savage WWA Title match.

-The WWA plans to have Scott Steiner on future shows following the PPV.

-Says that the WWA has had talks with Goldberg, Sting, and Shane Douglas.

-Says he would not be surprised to see Sting show up on a future WWA show.

-Says the WWA is going back and forth on whether to have Buff Bagwell work a future show.

I missed the first hour of this PPV and cried through most of the last two hours. Thankfully, I had absolutely nothing to do and stayed up for the repeat or else I would have missed one hell of a match between 6 lightweights with a lot of talent (at least 4 of them).
- I'm really glad Chris Daniels finally found a way to get on TV because he's amazing. I wish there was a way to see more of his wrestling skills without living in California.
- Low-Ki has got to be one of the stiffest kickers in wrestling....didn't I see him work a dark match at the Jan 7th Raw in MSG?
- Who the fuck is Sharkboy, and why do I feel like I've seen him before?
- Tony Mamaluke is willing to take any amount of punishment to collect a paycheck. I thought I watched him take some bad falls and awkward bumps in the last few months of ECW's existence...tonight he soared to new levels. Too bad the Sicilian Shooter wasn't there with him....and too bad he bleeds faster then Steven/William Regal before the nasal surgery.
- AJ Styles is nearly as impressive as Daniels, he deserves to be on TV very soon.
- If I had muted the show, I would have been really glad to see Nova again, he's one if the ECW guys I miss most. But Mark Madden felt he had to remind us 7,000 times that Nova is "...not a cartoon character anymore!" and I wanted to kick in my TV screen. Man, would I love to see him work a month-long angle vs. RVD in a WWF size ring.

Not that I'm a professional critic of wrestling, but also worth noting tonight:

- Could the owner of the company have been given the prepared statement to read (about Randy Savage fucking them over and no-showing) a few minutes before being taped reading it. He really could have used that time to familiarize himself with the big words...the ones with 4 or more letters.
- Bret Hart spoke publicly for five minutes straight without calling Vince McMahon an asshole...alert the media.
- Alan Funk(?)/The-Artist-Formerly-Known-As-The-KweeWee does the most realistic Hogan impersonation I've ever seen. And nearly as funny as Stunning Steve Austin's old impression.
- Kronik still can't wrestle....and as for their competition: Native American gimmicks no longer work unless you are wrestling on a Reservation.
- To Whom it May Concern in the WWA front office: You brought back midgets, and unlike the traditional Raw-after-the-PPV/Make-fun-of-my-opponent-by-spoofing-him-with-a-midget, you made them wrestle....FEEL SHAME!
- Scott Steiner still is HORRID with a microphone in his hands, and knows only a few more English words than Buff Bagwell.
- Good to see Jerry Lynn again...too bad he never really got a shot in the WWF.
- Nevermind about Bret Hart....they flew Larry Zbyszko in to take care of the mandatory Vince-bashing.
- I was really glad to see Sabu again, and was even more excited when I found out he would be wrestling Devon Storm. Then the match started....then the match ended....then I wept for what used to be my last memory of Sabu. Wow, am I depressed.
- WWA finally sunk a few hundred dollars into the purchase of a real championship belt, and it looks pretty nice. They got one of the two big named guys to do it, I think it's Ray Parks whose signature identification is the gold tip at the end of the strap, but don't quote me. The shame is that they were only willing to spend the money on one belt and awarded the former world title belt (it's a whole 2 months old) tonight as the "Cruiserweight Title". I guess that makes sense since it looks like a feather-weight boxing belt, and it was up for grabs between 3 luchadors.
- Mark Madden was on TV tonight and was only assaulted twice....not nearly enough to justify having to look at him.
- Is Shane Douglas such an asshole that he couldn't find work even at a low-budget event like this? Or did he blow out his elbow again starting his car? Where is this fuckin' guy?
- THANK GOD I didn't have to pay to watch this! Great start, people were on their feet for the first match and cheering at times...then you finish with a main event including Brian Christopher? Again...feel shame.
- Pray for me for having so little to do in my life that not only did I watch, but I was moved to share this with you all.

BRA-FUCKING-VO. Glad to see I'm not the only anti-Steiner person here. Shit on the mic, and juiced so much that he can't fucking move. And the WWF thinks picking him up is good. Ugh.

Nearly the most pathetic segment of the show. Are they that desperate for attention?

Passing off the old Heavyweight title as the Cruiserweight title was really sick. Though the belt does suit the Cruisers, the belt from the last PPV was better. And it didn't have mirrors. Gotta love the video of Bret from the last PPV holding the mirror belt, and JJ lifting it, victorious...

Sadly, Christopher got the highest level of crowd interaction for the night.

One thing you did NOT touch on though - the horrible, AWFUL production. You would think that maybe, possibly, just perhaps, they might want to, oh I dunno, say, catch a high spot on camera? Wouldn't that be nice? A good number of the best spots on the show weren't even shown on TV, because the camera was busy looking at a referee or a guy lying on the mat. The 6-way suffered TREMENDOUSLY from this. I even recall in the 3-way, someone was on the outside, then someone else did a nice jump to the outside to land on them. Did we see the jump? Nope, we heard it called, but all we saw was a close-up of the landing. And Sabu's jump to Storm on the outside table? Gee, we missed the landing. Kinda important too, cause Storm got out of the way.

The production was enough to make even the good matches on this PPV seem TERRIBLE.

I was literally throwing shit at the TV throughout the show.

FTL,
You're absolutely right about the production...but, hey, they made sure to get a really good overhead shot of Brian Christopher's Insigury (no idea how to spell that one) kick that missed by more than a foot! You have to give them credit for the humorous outcomes of their piss-poor timing.

First of all, thank god I did not pay for it.

Observations:

1)First match was good. Went down hill from there.
2)Mark madden and Jeremy Borash make Tazz and Michael COle sound better than Lawler and JR or even Madden and Summerall. They made me long for listening to Tony Schiavonce and Scott Hudson.
3)Bret Hart did take a couple shots at the WWF subtletly by saying this wrestling organization has integrity and how he was displayed as anti-american. The promo sucked.
4)Scott Steiner's long awaited return against Disco Inferno. Nice job. Anyone else think that Steiner is pretty much guarnteed to be at Wrestlemania after that travesty
5)Kronic sucks.
6)Why couldn't Jason Williams have shot and killed Rock Steiner instead of the limo driver.
7)My favorite part of the night was Jerry Lynn and Eddie Guerrero. They should have let Eddie talk a little more before Lynn came out though.
8)Larry Zbysko shooting a promo on Vince means as much to me as Dink or the Gobbledygooker shooting a promo on Vince. He is a meaningless nothing, whose career is over. He is just pissed because Chris Jericho is the real living legend and he is a nothing.

Did this promo remind anyone of Bischoff's challenge to Vince to appear on their next PPV when WCW was desperate.

Why would the owner of a billion dollar company, want to face a loser in a promotion that has less people in attendance than the Knicks at MSG these days.
9)Jeff jarrett belongs back in the WWF. brian Christopher is only good with Scottie 2 Hotty. He is the main event of their PPV while he could not headline a Sunday Night Heat.
10)The production was godawful. I guess they can't afford instant replay. No matter how much you hate the WWF and after tonight's fiasco, you guys should me more happy with them, WWF's production team is top notch.
11)The Devon Storm vs Sabu match was really good too.
Is it me or does Mark Madden seem like he ate Andre the Giant. he looks fatter than ever.
