From Linda McMahon's press conference today courtesy of wrestlingobserver.com:

--About the only major news is that they announced that instead of the previous plan for 24 PPV events per year after the split, they are going to do 16, which would be one per month, with an additional show every quarter. The first one of those may be a major event scheduled for 8/10 in Melbourne, Australia at a 60,000-seat Domed stadium. It was also announced that they have sold 58,000 tickets to Wrestlemania for just under $4 million, breaking the $3.6 million company one-show record set at the Astrodome last year.

Ok. Now please stop having convulsions over 24 PPVs in a year, which would most certainly be the Apacolypse the way you guys were talking, ok?

From the looks of it, the extra four PPVs seem to be international PPVs like the 2 UK only ones per year and it looks like they're having a Australia-only one based on that comment, and the other one I would guess would be a Japan only one since the WWF seemed to have been successful in selling out the events there quickly for the shows in another week (What? I thought Puroseau was better than meeting God. Why would they want to watch filthy WWF wrestling there? ;) ). So, if that's the case, it will still be 12 PPVs a year in America like now. This explains the $35 price for PPVs as the WWF was expecting extra revenue from the split and now with this change of plans, that won't happen, so they have to make up for it with the extra $5 charge after Backlash. So, please stop crying about THAT, too.

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLO!

You might have a point if you had a clue. The tickets to the Japan show were quickly bought up by the Yakuza, who control ticket scalping. They were NOT sold to actual wrestling fans.

I won't deny that there is underground support for the WWF in Japan, because there is, but a true gauge on the success of the show won't be possible until the show actually takes place.

FTL is not to blame for this abomination of a sig pic.
