As many know, the World Wrestling Federation have split up Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in recent months – both having "marriage problems" on air. During the months of separation, Stephanie has been playing a heel role against Triple H while managing Chris Jericho. However, it appears that the WWF may put a twist into the storyline re-uniting Triple H and Stephanie at WrestleMania 18.

Various reports indicate that the WWF's big surprise at WrestleMana 18 could be that Triple H and Stephanie won't be getting a divorce. Instead, there’s a strong chance that Stephanie will turn on Jericho and help HHH re-gain his Championship Title. At WrestleMania 18, Stephanie will reveal that she faked her "marriage problems" with Triple H to take down Jericho and to get revenge against Jericho for everything that he has done to her in the past.

By doing this, the WWF hopes to turn Stephanie and Triple H back into heels . With Triple H's win at WrestleMania 18, a storyline with either Steve Austin or The Rock will slowly take shape ...

I could see that happening. But what I would really love to see is in the Flair/Taker match, Flairs son David come down and turn and help Taker. Now that would be a ballsy move by the WWF. But that's never gonna happen....

ive actually been thinking about that twist for some time, i first thought it when stephanie began bossing around jericho and treating him like shit. i think that it would work alright, except for the fact that it would completely fuck over jericho..he would be left without his title, and lose all his heel heat, leaving him the only options of remaining heel and being maybe 3rd or even 4th top heel or turn face and become stale after a few weeks like last time. for jerichos sake i hope this doesnt happen.

Swerve for the sake of a swerve, at the expense of continuity.

Make HGH and Steph look like geniuses, while Jericho looks like a complete moron.

Yeah, it's possible...

Great. More Stephanie. I need that like I need Norton and Fez babysitting my children.

Why not, instead of that at Wrestlemania, they just have Stephanie strap on a dildo and anally rape every WWF wrestler for four hours. Jericho could probably take a two footer with the way they've been fucking with him over the last month. Then Vince could spit on him as he walks out in shame.

That would be a lot more interesting than what we've seen recently. A lot less offensive, as well.

I hope that doesn't happen....I thought the whole reason for Jericho beating the Rock at the last PPV was to avoid making him a transitional champion. I thought he was being rewarded with a Main Event WrestleMania victory (before relinquishing the title and returning to sub-main event status for the rest of his career) because of the big mess he helped them out of with Benoit & HHH being out for so long. I'm not the biggest Jericho fan, but I would be pissed for him if that's the way it goes down.

Actually, this makes sense for a couple of reasons:

1) Stephanie and HHH didn't start hating each other since after he won the Rumble. So, it is conceivable that they started this as a plot to make sure HHH wins the title at Wrestlemania. The reason for the plot would make sense as HHH's character is a shady individual who is insecure and so would run over his own mom (or hire a fat Samoan guy to do that to Stone Cold like in SurSer 99) if it meant he would come out on top. A Steph turn on Jericho would not turn Steph face, especially since it's in Canada and 80% of them are gonna root for Jericho anyway. It would turn HHH heel, where he belongs anyway and to the side where his character is much more relatable. By default, Jericho turns face. This makes sense because:

2) Like I said, in Toronto, the fans will root for him anyway, so why not learn from their mistake last year where they turned Austin heel in TEXAS and turn Jericho face IN CANADA!

3) Jericho's heel character, through no fault of his own, has been sad. Turn him face, where he was so popular just a few months ago, and the added history of being the first undisputed champion will give him alot more credibility as a face this time around as he starts winning things fair and square again.

4) If the split rumors are true and BOTH Rock and Austin are going to the RAW WWF, then the Smackdown WWF is gonna need a #1 face. With the Undisputed Champ going to be on BOTH organizations and with HHH likely being champ at Mania regardless of them doing a heel turn or not, HHH, who would normally be that #1 face if he doesn't turn, isn't going to be able to be the #1 face anyway since he'll be on RAW also. So, somebody is gonna have to step up and be #1 face in the Smakcdown WWF. RVD? I don't think they have that confidence in him as you can tell. There really isn't anyone else I can think of. So, Jericho would, if he was a face, become the #1 face in the Smackdown WWF. THIS is why I love the split! Some other guys are gonna get opportunities.

5) It would make the past few weeks of WWF TV make sense finally. If the plot on Jericho would be true, the focus HAD to be Steph bullying Jericho around, so that sympathy can be built for Jericho leading in. And, hell, that's worked. I don't know anyone on this board that isn't sympathetic to how much of a retard Y2J has been painted as. In any case, Jericho would stop being looked upon as dumb and start being looked upon as sympathetic by fans, is my point, which makes for a good face.

It actually is the only move that justifies everything that has gone on the past few weeks with this storyline and would be a nice shock that I think will fix alot of the problems in the WWF world title picture. There is only ONE major plot hole, though:

Why did Steph cost HHH his title shot at No Way Out, then??????

The only way to answer that is to say they did it so nobody would be let on. But, the thing is, how could they depend on HHH getting the title shot back thanks to a move by Ric Flair? Well, Ric Flair would have to be in on it as well, somehow! Perhaps, Ric, not David, Flair is turning heel!

Think about it, Flair told Vince, "I am willing to do ANYTHING to Taker at Mania" on Monday. That connotates a heel turn clue right there, as it is a very heel thing to say. Perhaps he's getting back at Vince by hiring the nWo and unveiling they are under HIS control? With the nWo invading Vince's, not Ric's, WWF during the split, this makes sense.

Then, you could say Ric was in on it with Kliq member HHH and Steph because both HHH and Steph are joining the nWo, and this was all a plot to have the nWo have both the WWF title and Vince's daughter in their war against Vince. The impetus? Ric Flair wants revenge on Vince for killing the name WCW, the name HE built, and so he bought the half of the WWF that was for sale so he could infiltrate it with the source that killed WCW, the nWo. The plan is to have the nWo kill vince's WWF, so Flair's WWF is the only one left standing, and Flair's WWF is going to be just like the old WCW (Wrestling-only as rumored) with none of this sports entertainment stuff so that memory of WCW will live on forever and Vince's dream will die. Obviously, in the end, Vince's way will triumph, but that is for a while down the road.

Hey, why the fuck else did Flair show up the night after WCW was killed? He owned the WWF for a few months already and didn't announce it. Maybe he was waiting for WCW to be fully dead before his plot was to take over.

This storyline would kick ass, make sense, and make this Wrestlemania one of the most memorable ones in history. Why do I feel that the current writers won't think of it then?

I must admit reading what you wrote, diamond dust, does make sense and would truely be a great plot line but the writers wont think of it cuz they suck.

It sounds like a typical Stephanie McMahon devised angle - selfish. The way this main event is being promoted at the moment is as HHH Vs Stephanie. And after that she's going to stick herself right back in the limelight with HHH, with the added bonus of him being the new champion. Great. Why don't they just rename it to Steph's Wrestling Federation?

Instead, there’s a strong chance that Stephanie will turn on Jericho and help HHH re-gain his Championship Title. At WrestleMania 18, Stephanie will reveal that she faked her "marriage problems" with Triple H to take down Jericho and to get revenge against Jericho for everything that he has done to her in the past.

I hope they do this. So I can sit back and laugh at them all.

Not only does it NOT make sense, it's fucking retarded. Like Sir O said, it's as swerve for the sake of a swerve. It's not a good plotline, it's just more lazy writing by the monkeys running the booking department.

The only problem I have with this is that on Smackdown they had the bit about his leg holding together by a few wires. Reminds me of the Kurt Angle broken neck storyline back in August/September.

Good callback. I almost forgot about that. This is that storyline all over again. It was September because it was for Unforgiven, after 9-11 and the U.S.A. hero wins the WWF championship after overcoming an almost-broken neck from the evil Stone Cold. Now it's just the evil Jerchio and Steph getting HHH's old injury so he'll be questionable till about a half hour before the PPV and then they will announce that he will fight. Then he'll win. No doubt in my mind this will happen.

I've been saying this one for a while now rageparty. This match just never made sense to me and then the idea of Stephanie and HHH pretending to have problems popped into my head.
Without a doubt expect to see HHH leave Wrestlemania as the champ and as a heel with Stephanie by his side once again.

Thanks Mrs. Moosen for the pics.

Since it is a Surprise Rumors thread, I found this at RajahWWF.Com:

quote:

- Ken Shamrock is in Toronto, has done a couple media appearances and has made it a point to challenge Kurt Angle. The feeling is that Shamrock is just trying to create this angle himself and it is not believed that the WWF has anything in store for him at Wrestlemania, but since he is in town, he will be in attendance. Shamrock also stated that he'd like to work 1-2 shoot fights per year and work with the WWF in between.

"leg holding together by a few wires." According to who? Stephanie. So why couldn't she have just said that even though HHH's leg was perfectly healthy, baiting Jericho along. But no, she wouldn't lie about something supposedly from a medical professional, would she? ;-)
