This sucked, the order of the matches was kind of stupid too. How gay was the whole Hardcore Title situation? The title changes like 4 times in one night. It seemed like a Raw. Austin/Hall and surprisingly Rock/Hogan matches were pretty good. So was Y2J/HHH, but there were no surprises besides Hogan leaving the nWo. So much for an Austin/Hogan feud. This Mania sucked in my opinion. And you??

Well....its over. The order of the matches did suck. How do you make the Womens Title the second to last match? Hardcore title situation kept crakin me up for some reason, 'specially seein Al Snow drive into the wall o' boxes.Best match of the evening in my opinion was the match that I thought was going to suck the most...Taker/ Flair.I stand corrected. Other than that it just seemed to me that Wrestlemania should have been alot grander and better than it was. It didnt suck but it wasnt all that it used to be.

Overall, decent PPV - and most definitely NOT a WM like it used to be.

Musical performances - not a good idea. Ate up too much time, and I really didn't care for any of the music or bands.

Best maych - Three of them :
1)Flair/Taker
2)Trips/Y2J
3)Rock/Hogan

I thought it was cool seein Hogan do the poses, the moves, etc. I thought he should've won (as did the entire stadium - I never heard Rocky get booed like he did tonight).

Flair/Taker was great. Say he's old and looks it, but Flair really took the abuse tonight, and seemed to be enjoying it.

Trips/Y2J was cool simply for the fact that they wrestled fairly well, Trips got the belt, and he got it (fairly) cleanly. You knew he was gonna win it, but they pulled it off well.

Hmmmmm, I can't say I'm really looking forward to RAW tomorrow, but I will say Im interested to see what's gonna go down. Is the Yellow & Red Hogan going to appear? And if he doesn't go back to nWo, who takes his place?

Like I say after every WWF PPV - I'm glad to have watched it, and even gladder to not have paid for it :)

To answer manginos question the reason they put that match between Rock/Hogan and HH/Y2J is to give the crowd time to cool down and relax from all the screaming and cheering that they would expect for that match, but of course with all the cheering they did nobody really expected it that much so they were mostly dead, but when they have ppv's that have more than 1 main event caliber match they put matches that would kill the crowd to seperate them.

I went in expecting one of the worst PPVs in history. I was pleasantly surprised.

Not to say that it was a good WM. It was barely mediocre for a non-WM PPV. But mediocre is better than I thought it'd be.

Flair/Taker was okay. Flair took a lot of good bumps, and of course carried the match. I don't exactly see how the fake board of directors will see his dreadful loss as a clear indicator that he should get half the company. My guess: the old "I put my body and my life on the line in that match, which proves my love for this company".

Rock/Hogan had to be my match of the night, and it had jack shit to do with the actual guys wrestling. The crowd was.... backwards. Hogan was the face and Rock the heel. And that was fuckin unbelievable.

HHH/Jericho.... mediocre at best, but what do you expect when the feud is between HHH and Steph, with Jericho thrown in for good measure?

IMO, the PPV ended with Rock and Hogan walking out. That was the Wrestlemania classic, younger face over older heel. And the "go home happy" ending was there too. Truthfully, had the PPV ended with that, people would be saying better things about it.

i new it.
and its pissing me off.

i told my friend after the ppv was over that when i go online today people will be talking about how great a match Hogan/Rock was.

uhm.
did any of you actually watch it?
Hogan could not even fall right.
good god did it suck ass.
he even moved out of the way when Rock hit the Rock Bottom, resulting in Rock not even hitting Hogan with it.
thats why they didnt show a replay of it.

WM18 is the worst ppv ive ever seen.
i asked my friend if we were watching Halloween Havoc or Thunder.

it stinked!

there was no huge surpise accept NWO turning on Hogan but it makes sense if Trips and them hook up and form, hopefully wolfpac or DX hybrid.

I think it was a lot better than most people expected. The biggest problem in my eyes was they FUCKED themselves on the main event. For the sake of drama and "the story" they turned HHH into a gimp, for lack of a better term. Doing this curtailed half of what he could do and turned what could have been a 5 star match, into a 3 star match. If you had your 2 lions(HHH and Y2J) going at each other at "full strength" you could have easily had a match that went 30-40 minutes of non-stop action that would have thrilled the crowd. What you had was what appeared to be a half-blown ending that didn't look good at all. Kind of anti-climatic in my eyes.

Say what you want about the workrate and wrestling ability of Hogan and Rock, their match worked because of one thing, the crowd POPPED during the match, with big capital letters. They were on every single move, whether good or bad. It was all the wwf and the competitors could have imagined. They put on an entertaining match, maybe the most twisting, turning match of the night. The one thing that would have totally made the angle and drive it on in a new direction...after Hogan and Rock drive off Nash and Hall, The Rock rock-bottoms Hogan and the 3 of them pummle Hogan. The Rock is born "heel", nop question about it. I haven't seen him get into a match as much as he was into that one last night with the crowd booing his every move. He was egging him on and playing the "heel" and the crowd was into booing him and it was electric. No matter how much you may hate Rock, and I do, you have to admit that at least.

The rest of the card was a decent ppv. I must admit I fell asleep during the Hall/Austin match. I woke up with the stunner and the pin. Angle/Kane wasn't bad, but Angle blew the ending and he was pissed about it, I read on wwf.com. Edge was destined to win being home. RVD/Regal had more blown spots than I cared to count...how about we send Benoit after RVD now and let them battle for the Intercontinental Belt. Those matches would be good, very good in fact. Tag-match...bleh. Taker/Flair was disappointing because of the ending not the match itself. It was fun watching UT just kick the shit out of Flair. Although I was hoping that Benoit would come out at the end and cause UT to lose, setting up his return and a possible Four-Horseman Group. All in all though, it was one of the better PPVs in a while and I gotta say I enjoyed it. Some other commentary now.

-Have you seen a Superplex that looked like it hurt more than Jazz's superplex on Lita. Maybe its because they are smaller, but that impact looked painful
-Is the chucky/Billy thing over? The rest of the teams carried that match, with them sneaking in at the end for the win, or is that going to be their "deal"?
-Did you want to drop a batch as much as I did watching Stacy dancing on that stage with Saliva????? Godamn!!!
-Could you call Steph FINALLY getting the pedigree, after a month of teasing it????
-Wasn't Christian cooler when he was being funny???
-MAVEN????????? Enough
-and finally, with Hogan and Rock going after Hall and Nash, whats next for Austin??? HHH??

Sometimes our choices are made for us.

Technically, the match was awful and an emabrassment. Both Rock and Hogan have some of the poorest execution in wrestling. The real fun in that match was listening to the crowd reactions, and JR's feeble attempts at keeping Rock face.

I thought Hall and Nash turning on Hogan afterwards just screamed of desperation and panic, which seems to be the norm these days. Now, it looks like we have Hogan/Rock vs. Hall/Nash to look forward to at Backlash. Oh, joy!

Funny, I figured they'd be unable to contain their excitement and make it happen on Raw.

I thought about that, but I doubt it.

In the next month, we're gonna have plenty of matches leading up to it: Hogan vs. Hall, Nash vs. Rock, Hall/Nash vs. Rock handicapped match, Hall vs. Hogan vs. Funaki triple threat match, etc. Come on, it's money in the bank!

Canadian fans are morons. I realize the fan base that a Hulk Hogan brings but in my opinion there pointless desire to try to appear as harcore wrestling fans was the main reason they booed the Rock. Just to be different Ay. Even back in the day when Hogan was young he would never be able to really run with an athlete like the Rock. Also: Are we gonna get treated to seeing Grandpa Flair get wooped at every ppv?

or maybe they just like and respect hogan that much..hmmm yea, that sounds about right.
and to anyone that says that tired old bullshit about hogan is fuckin stupid. i agree 100% that hogan shouldnt be wrestling, but he is so deal with it, give him so god damn credit...after all those years of beating the shit out of his body he still goes out there at that age and performs, so say what you want but i bet none of you can go out there and do that at your current age, let alone doing it at his age after all hes been through.

or it could be because rocky sucks. its a fact. he isn't a good wrestler, he is a talker. that may get him over with most of the fans, but when the best talker of all time is your opponent then you will get booed out of hte building.
The ppv was good, i enjoyed it more than i thought i would. my problem with it was the length of match rvd and regal were given. what is up with only giving those guys 5 minutes??? might as well have put them on heat too!! other than that, pretty decent match. glad to see that the hardly boyZZZZZ lost again, and that they are letting billy and chucky keep the belts. they are better than the others in the division who need to be repackaged. I think it may be time to have dvon and bubba fued against one another, just to change things up. they put on pretty decent matches against one another, and both bump like crazy for each other.

flair v taker was the suprise of the night
and too bad they hampered themselves with the hurt hhh story...could have been an instant classic, but now it will only be a main event of a wm...
