About damn time they signed Mysterio to a contract, and its about damn time they move forward with the crusierweight division. I assume that the crusierweight division will be focused on RAW rather than Smackdown. That division will do much beter on primetime cable, with Flair as the boss, then on network TV.

Eddy Guerrero & Rey Misterio Jr. Look To Be Headed To WWF
Posted By Ashish on 03.21.02

It appears that both Eddy Guerrero and Rey Misterio Jr. are headed to the WWF very soon. Both men have been involved in contract negotiations with the WWF over the past few weeks.

Rey Misterio Jr. has most likely signed a deal already with the WWF. If he hasn't, he will probably sign very soon. Misterio has cancelled his recent indy bookings which is a sign that he is headed to the WWF.

Eddy Guerrero also looks to be very close to reaching a deal with the WWF if he has not already. He too has stopped taking indy bookings.

Both men are expected to play key roles in the WWF Lightweight division which will likely be pushed following the roster split.

Good, I don't see why nobody likes Eddy Guerrero, who cares about his life outside the WWF. He's not a bad wrestler. And Rey puts on unbelievable matches, I mean this division will grow well, Tajiri, & Helms would make good competition right off the bat...

This is a good move. I know that a lot of people here seem to hate WCW, but I don't see how anyone can deny that cruizerweights were something that WCW did damn near perfectly. I'll be glad to see Rey Rey again, and I'm hoping things work out with Eddy.

With this new push for the cruizerweight division, I hope that they don't half-ass it. The matches will very much get over with the fans, but I'm worried that the WWF will screw it up....give the matches only 2-3 minutes each, or even pull the plug on the project a couple weeks in just because they don't pop huge right off to bat (which is a typical WWF trait).

The WWF has a solid cruizerweight talent roster....I'm looking forward to seeing guys like Jamie Knoble and A.J. Styles too.
