| Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | Smackdown because ratings show more people watch Smackdown than Raw and I am a prima donna who knows that the entire world needs to see me in all my glory. If the ratings were even, though, I'd pick Raw just because of the history value of the show being much bigger than for Smackdown. | ||||

If Smackdown! went live I'd still go to RAW only because cable allows for a little more in the way of censorship, not to mentoon RAW is always 10 to 15 minutes longer than it should be (why they just don't make the show 2 1/2 or 3 hours long at this point is beyond me). So, as a result of cable having less possible viewers than free TV, less people can watch Raw and it will still get a higher rating number than Smackdown, but not a higher amount of people watching. For example, let's say you have 10% of 20 and also have 5% of 100. 10% of 20 is 2. 5% of 100 is 5. The 10% is a higher percentage, but the 5% yields a higher number, which is the real thing we are concerned about here. From what I know off the top of my head, a 3.9 rating in free TV on UPN is equivalent to about a 4.8 rating or so on TNN or a cable network. So, Smackdown usually beats Raw in cable ratings language by 4.8 to 4.6. It is not a dramatic beating, but I have found that just about every week, Smackdown beats Raw consistently. I guess MICHAEL COLE=RATINGS!!!!! As for this week, if you are interested, ratings were higher than the past few weeks and Raw did it's best number since August at a 5.3 while Smackdown scored highly with a 4.3, meaning it was just about equal this week with Raw maybe slightly edging Smackdown out for once! Of course, the night-after-Wrestlemania edition of Raw would be expected to do that, so I'd imagine this was expected to be an odd week anyway. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I'd go to RAW mainly because that is their main show and there are better chances of surprises happening there. Nothing big really happens on Smackdown due to the fact that it is taped and the secret would be out the next day on the Internet.
