| Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01  | I've always been of the opinion that the wrestling industry and the porn industry were very similar. Hell, just look at some of the ECW video titles: Hardcore Heaven, Barely Legal, etc. It didn't surprise me one bit when Rob Black started XPW, and in fact, I thought it was almost fitting that possibly the biggest scumbag in porn was the first to cross over into wrestling. In both wrestling and porn, you'll often find rampant drug use, little regard for the safety of the "talent," business tactics often bordering on criminal activity, and overall some of the sleaziest human beings to walk the earth. Anyway, I found this little article on PWBTS.com, written by Eric Walker, and thought I'd share it with you. And just so you know, Bob Barnett, who also writes for PWBTS, is the best wrestling columnist on the internet by a million gazillion miles. You really should read his stuff too. Bill O’Reilly compares the two together.... The PTC (Pathetic Tightassed Clowns) considers them the same…. Even Bob Ryder compared the two....(Raw Is Porn) I am talking about pro wrestling and the porno industry. Two totally different entertainment mediums that for some reason, a lot of people consider one and the same. I decided to take a deeper look into this. I mean, can this many people be wrong? So, I did some research on this phenomenon. What I came up with was as shocking as anything I have ever uncovered in all my time as a journalist. Yes, pro wrestling and the porno industry are almost alike. I have the proof, here it is… Both use buzz words like “Extreme†and “Hardcoreâ€. You can’t swing a dead cat on the internet without finding a wrestling site or porn site. Both are big sellers on the Pay Per View Market. Both are huge sellers of DVD’s and Video Cassettes. Those were the obvious ones, but I looked deeper. I looked much deeper and the results were as shocking as anything I had ever read…… Porno has a huge amateur industry of very poorly shot videos of unskilled stars doing things very badly...pro wrestling has backyard wrestlers. Pro wrestling has “enhancement talentâ€. Wrestlers whose job it is to make the stars look good...porno has “fluff girlsâ€. Porn stars enhance their bodies to unnatural proportions to look more appealing to their audience….Pro wrestling has Triple H!! Pro wrestlers often say they get “blown up†or they are “sucking windâ€...that’s a typical scene in a porn flick. Pro wrestlers often get chairs and other weapons routinely smacked across their faces…....for the benefit of the readers I can not explain what gets smacked across a porn stars face on a routine basis. Pro wrestlers sell moves and hits that are really not that painful to make the show look real...anyone who has seen a female porn star in action with Ron Jeremy knows they can sell as well as anyone. Pro wrestling is fake...a porn star can fake it. There are thousands of pro wrestlers, but only a few stars like The Rock, Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Likewise, there are thousands of porn stars but only a few stars like Jenna Jameson, Chasey Lain and Jazmin St. Claire. Porn stars often keep working long past their prime money making age in small clubs and low budget films. Pro wrestlers often go back to the indies long after they are past their prime to make more money living off of their names. Pro wrestling uses simple scripts and often the same formulas over the years. The plot in a porn flick is pretty much always the same. Pro wrestling and porn are BILLION Dollar industries!!! And finally, narrow minded jackasses like Brent Bosell and Bill O’Reilly want to take away your right to watch both porn and pro wrestling. To call one obscene and defend the other is fighting half the battle. They blame these mediums for everything from corrupting the youth of America, to violence and murder. Whether you like it or not, to protect one and not the other is letting the thought police win. My comparisons may have been tongue in cheek, but to let some goofball decide what is good for you and what you can watch in your home goes against everything this country stands for!!!!! Don’t think that if they just attack porn it’s ok, because they are leaving wrestling alone. The domino theory comes into play very fast. Defend one, and you defend everything.
