| Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01  | Overall, It was okay. RVD/Guerrero was a good match. RVD always puts on a good show. I honestly didn't think they would give to Hogan. That suprised me. The only thing that I couldn't figure out was what was the point of Hall/X-pac coming to the ring during the UT/SCSA match? They just stood there like a bunch of goons? , VOS IS ABOUT AS FUNNY AS GETTING A PAPERCUT ACROSS THE TIP OF YOUR MULE AND THEN DIPPING IT IN LEMON JUICE!!!! | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | I'd say Backlash was a thumbs in the middle show, with the thumb MAYYYYYYYYYYYYYBE pointing slightly upwards just because I liked the booking of the show. I think the booking was better than the action, which I haven't said for a WWF show since 1998. I liked the surprises on the show, especially since they weren't surprises in the "OMG! Undertaker is joining the nWo for NO REASON WHATSOEVER!" sense, like I thought they were going with when the nWo came at ringside to do nothing (maybe they are trying to recruit one of the two since they need a leader?) They were surprises in the "Cool, I didn't expect Eddy G. to win, this could lead somewhere interesting" sense. In hindsight, if they weren't gonna turn HHH heel, the only way to go was to have Hogan win the belt, cuz a shmozzy ending wouldn't be justified, and HHH winning when the fans WANTED Hogan to win is not only gonna piss the fanbase off, but it is not coming to grips with HHH being a complete failure as a face champ and thus setting themselves up for more failure. In the end, one of the two had to go, either HHH being face or HHH being champ. I woulda picked the first one, but I can't blame them for picking the last one. Good choice in Hogan,too, cuz who knows if this popularity is gonna last or not, so might as well cash in now, and then see if it DOES last. I guess the WWF listened to the fan base for once on this. They probably had a wait and see approach to HHH when he won the belt, and had a backup plan ready for his demise if he didn't get a reaction off the gate, which you knew he wasn't gonna get before Mania even happened. They set up the HHH-Taker match, and when the fans didn't take to it, the back up plan went into effect and HHH was dethroned by the face champ people DID want to see, and now Taker gets his PPV main event slot back so he's not pissed. Speaking of which, Hogan-Taker at Judgment Day? Yup. It's 1991 all over again. Oh well, you can already tell they're setting things up for Hogan-Jericho at KOTR when SD gets to decide the #1 contender again. And THAT I want to see. Just for the promos Jericho can cut, bringing up how Hogan held him down and he's old and worthless, etc. Benoit can come back and join forces with Y2J to destroy Hulkamania as well! Who knows, maybe Jericho will actually go OVER! Um. No. But it will be cool, and might be better for his career than fighting HHH ever was. 1. 94 Wins and NL East Title by the Mets this year 2. Hate the Braves with a passion 3. All 5 Starters have winning records this year 4. Mets win World Series 5. Hopefully come up with a better name for the Crack Commitee than something the Mad Dog came up with. Come on! | ||||
