quote:

Lou Thesz, the legendary former multiple time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, has passed away.
Thesz had undergone a triple bypass surgery earlier in April and had been recuperating from the surgery.

Although he had long retired when the internet came along, Thesz took time to communicate with fans online first on AOL's Grandstand, and more recently at WrestlingClassics.com, where fans are remembering the great champion who had become an online friend through his postings.

We will have a tribute to Lou Thesz and a title history posted later today.

The entire staff of 1Wrestling.com mourns the passing of one of wrestlings greatest champions.

That sucks. But hopefully he is in a better place now.

In the end it doesn't even matter

Well, at least he died naturally, which is much more than can be said about most wrestler deaths. Still, it's a shame. You really should read his book, entitled "Hooker," which is right up there with Foley's first book and Dynamite's as the best wrestling books I've read. It gives some great insight into the history of wrestling, and how much different the business was back then.

2002 Crack Committee Objectives:

2. Hate the Braves with a passion
3. All 5 Starters have winning records this year
4. Mets win World Series
