Visit this Website WWF Starting To Incorporate New "WWE" Name Posted By Ashish on 05.03.02 Due to the problems over the "WWF" name (the WWF and the World Wildlife Fund have been involved in legal battles over the name for sometime now), the WWF has gotten the rights to the "WWE" name. WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) could very well replace the WWF name over time if courts declare that the WWF is no longer allowed to use the name. In the latest WWF.com Ross Report, Jim Ross referred to the WWF as "WWE" twice which is a clear sign that something regarding the new name is in the works. 1. 94 Wins and NL East Title by the Mets this year 2. I think the WWE, as JR has already called it on his always (not) entertaining Ross Report, is trying to get some cheap pub in addition to avoiding another 10,000 appeals after the judge tells them to change their name AGAIN. By changing their name, they'll get some of that publicity they've been lacking lately since their show no longer is the scum of the earth that the parents' groups want off the air. I personally can't wait for the next mindlessly stupid and obvious channel 9 promo during Smackdown Thursday where the black chick comes on and says, "THE END OF THE WWF! WHY THE WWF WILL NO LONGER EXIST IN A MONTH! It is the shocking news of the century that wrestling fans can't miss, tonight at 10, on UPN 9 News!" so the rubes can watch and at 10:30, they could spend 30 seconds on this "top story" and talk about the name change before they go to weather. You out of NYC area folks won't get it, but trust me, SOMEBODY on this board knows what I'm talking about and wants to kill Roland Smith for it! 1. 94 Wins and NL East Title by the Mets this year 2. | Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | The WWF is already known as WWFE, when they went public on the stock market they changed it to that so that is nothing new...If you look at the bottom of there site it has been like that for about 3-4 years and when Raw and Smackdown ends it says the same thing copyright WWFE Inc. It has been like that for a while now. I am not saying they will keep the same logo but to its business partners it is known as WWFE.
